Rotherham dropped points to Wycombe tonight so that should ease the pressure a little bit for Birmingham. I think when the blues play them in a couple weeks time will be the deciding game tbh (and Rotherham have gotta play 4 games before they play Birmingham yet).

The Sheffield Wednesday result would have me a little bit nervous tho, they thrashed Cardiff 5-0. Where tf did that come from?

I agree with you that the Rotherham game is gonna be a huge decider for both teams, on current form though I would fancy our chances of nicking a 1-0 win against Rotherham.

And I'm still in shock at that Sheffield Wednesday result.:joker:

Get in there the Blues.

Definitely the brightest moment over the last two days imo.

Well done to Charlton btw Dogeatdog.

A great win for the blues Mock congrats. Looks like Bowyer has done a big turnaround since arriving at Birmingham and saving you’s from relegation.

A great win for us today too. Credit to Ben Amos today he made some outstanding saves today he well deserved man of the match and on his birthday too :D

Hopefully we can keep up with this momentum and pressure on the other teams around us since we still have a lot of tough games ahead. I think we might have a bit of a longer break again since we are not playing Tuesday and I’ve heard that the EFL are postponing the games next Saturday so they do not coincide with Prince Phillips funeral.

It was also good to see the other results go our way too.
It was for me still a tense one until the 2nd goal went in then for the first time I felt this day was going to be a good one for Birmingham.

Great result absolutely Mock.

Calderyon 10-04-2021 08:11 PM

Looking like Norwich and Watford are returning to PL.

Thanks, if Lee Bowyer carries on at this rate a Premier League team will come looking for him.:joker:

That result against Sunderland was a fantastic result for you guys, hopefully it's a spring in your step towards promotion.

And I understand the postponement, I do hope though that people will get a choice on what they want to watch though and not another national mourning moment like what happened on the first day of his passing as not everyone wants to be depressed when watching TV, there should be alternative choices for people that don't want to watch the Funeral imo.

I 100% agree with this post.

I honestly believe that if we draw with Rotherham in the next game that we stay up.

Btw it's been good to speak with you and the rest of TIBB again today.

I've been far to busy watching Jujutsu Kaisen and playing Assault Gunners for anyone that cares.:joker:

Dogeatdog 18-04-2021 09:48 AM

The Blues are gonna be kicking off soon. I wish them the best of luck , if they manage to get a win today I defo think they will be staying up this season. Looking at Rotherham’s fixtures they’ve got some tough games to play still, so today’s game will be interesting for sure.

Charlton drew 0-0 with Ipswich yesterday. We extend our unbeaten run which is good but we really needed those 3 points especially as Portsmouth lost there game, a missed opportunity to take advantage there and put on some more pressure.

joeysteele 18-04-2021 10:00 AM

I'm going to be a near nervous wreck from noon.
This is a big match Rotherham v Birmingham.
It's massive for both.

Obviously my hopes are for a positive result for Birmingham, please.

joeysteele 18-04-2021 01:01 PM

Oh wow, after a tense whole match to see Birmingham win this one.

Phew, well done indeed.
Massive relief that result.

Dogeatdog 18-04-2021 01:52 PM

What a great win for Birmingham congratulations. Bowyer has defo worked some magic since he’s joined and I think the Blues are defo going to be in the Championship next season now after that result.

Crimson Dynamo 18-04-2021 02:15 PM

apparently the blues were terrible but job done

Denver 18-04-2021 02:17 PM

I just hope Bowyer can keep it up, like when Redknapp took charge they were unbeaten then the next season started anf they just couldn't win a game and that's not been the first time either, the players always have an instant reaction to a new manager but they need to keep the enthusiasm all season long and not a few games

Mystic Mock 18-04-2021 11:47 PM

Thanks guys for the support.

Like Denver's said hopefully we'll actually keep this up rather than falling apart, or worse sack Bowyer for winning games like what happened to Rowett & Monk.

And hopefully Charlton will get promoted Dogeatdog.

I hope so too Mock. From this point onwards it’s going to be very tense for the teams in League 1 that are aiming for the playoffs with the season ending soon.

On a side note I saw a really odd stat yesterday. So Coventry who are ground sharing with Birmingham this season are on the exact same points, with the exact same amount of games won, drawn and lost, and nearly the exact same goal difference . Just thought it was a bit unusual lol

are Sheffield Wednesday still in this league?

just wondering

i kinda liked them back in my childhood, i also remember them when they had our Wim Jonk playing there in his last playing career days (he is now manager of FC Volendam in our first division KKD (keukenkampioendivisie), the team of his birthplace/hometown)

They are at the moment but it looks like they’re being relegated down to League 1 this season it just isn’t confirmed yet. They’ve won 2 of their last 14 games, at this stage in the season without their points deduction they still would have been in the relegation zone.

Well spotted that Dogeatdog.

Indeed but for one goal as to goal difference the stats are the same.

Calderyon 20-04-2021 05:17 PM

Norwich return to Premier League confirmed.

You got a cracking good result tonight Dogeatdog.
A 6-0 away win for Charlton.

Denver 21-04-2021 08:02 PM

Birmingham are currently winning and with Rotherham having lost it will all but keep Birmingham up, Coventry also got a massive win

I am daring myself to hope Denver.
These tight matches are wrecking my nerves,:joker:
