To say Joker 2 has split opinion is a huge understatement.

Some people really hate it. :skull:

Report back your thoughts when you’ve been!

Ouch-

Spoiler:

This has now dropped to just 40% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 120 reviews. :omgno:

Everything I've heard about the plot and especially the ending sounds like a major misstep.

Alf 04-10-2024 12:49 PM

I hadn't seen any trailers or read anything about it before seeing it.

It wasn't what I expected it to be.

I didn't know it was a musical. Although it is a musical.

Lady Gaga was awful, and her character basically did nothing.

The story didn't go anywhere and the ending was poor.

Disappointing

4.5/10

The music was good choices of song. Phoenix was fairly good in his role. But that's about the only plus points I can give it.

I've not seen it yet but given that the original Joker was the darling of MRA's and reddit sad-boys the world over, I really, really hope the sequel is one massive troll and they left the cinemas weeping and raging into their cumsocks. That would truly be a piece of art in itself. :flutter:

Why would they want to waste money like that though, that doesn't make sense

Nicky91 06-10-2024 04:31 PM

would more love a similar direction they had went in Telltale Batman games

Spoiler:

the Bruce Wayne/Batman & John Doe/Joker bromance thing

i also doubt
Spoiler:

GaGa is as good as Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn which is the GOAT Harley tbh, that one and the Harley from the Telltale Batman Enemy Within

I still want to see it because of Joaquin Phoenix. Who is such an amazing actor I could watch him in anything.

Cherie 06-10-2024 05:18 PM

I watched portions of this new one online (you can find it in its totality if you know where to look ;)), and still found myself pretty intrigued and engrossed by what I was seeing.

Apparently that makes you a reddit sad boy. The soy latte drinking, fake femminist boys said that, not me.
