Bit off topic, but how many loo rolls do you all use in a normal week?

Not that many, but I am at home on my own during the week and I encourage them to offload at work  only kidding

i think we blitz through about 6 but we can have like 4 kids at the weekend or even more if the TLs recalcitrant daughter has pals sleeping over (usually spewing in the wee small hours)

Ooh.
We are being far too generous in our portions.
2 a day average, but sometimes way more.

They’ve had to turn the middle of the freezer aisle in my local Morrison’s to overflow for toilet rolls, there’s thousands of them

LukeB 09-03-2020 12:52 PM

Just went asda and all the soap, eggs, milk and custard were all out of stock. It’s a bit silly imo, social media is the blame for this.

We have loads of sanitiser..not through panic buying but gavin seems to collect them and has always been really paranoid about using it. The 1k thing is clearly a joke :D I wish, could be bloody loaded if I swipe his stash while hes out and sell them

I dont get why sanitiser though, its great for most bacteria, but covid 19 is..a virus isnt it? So antibacterial **** wont even touch it? :suspect: Better hygiene is a good thing obviously, but I find it weird that sanitiser is recommended tbh, unless the NHS and such are just taking this oppurtunity t sort out all the filthy buggers that are out there..

Anyway, buying loads of it is daft, even if you use it 10 times a day, a bottle would last weeks..people seem to be planning on self isolating, whilst constantly ****ting then using sanitiser. That sounds..fun.

Aye.
Two of us and any guests.
I use a full one a day for coughing and sneezing.
Probably use far too much in the loo mind.

it must be a Scottish thing LT, if you fold it in half, then half again and so on, you can get as many wipes as you need

aw right that makes sense then, we have to be careful as the drains are so narrow if you over do it the Thames Water people have to come out to blast the drains, when my eldest son is home its usually when it happens, he seems to need half a roll in one go :idc:

Well... after resisting I finally succumbed to the panic. I bought quite a few boxes of paracetamol and ibuprofen, a load of chicken for the freezer and a load of passata, pasta and rice.

Vanessa 10-03-2020 02:47 PM

I'm not panic buying. I do my food shopping every week at Lidl. Anything I don't find in there, I go to my local shop.

Yes I succumbed a week or so ago .. now I’ve got stock to last a month or so .. any member of our family or even neighbours are welcome to a few tins of beans or corned beef if they’re desperate BUT if it’s someone who’s said that there’s no need to buy extra they can whistle..

what if you get a sniffle and have to self isolate for 7 days Ness, I would get a few bits in just in case

Vicky. 10-03-2020 03:33 PM

No sanitiser in local chemist now, but local homeless guy has brains. Hes under the underpass as usual, selling sanitiser for a fiver a bottle :D Bit worried for him actually thinking about it, people are getting so hysterical I can see him being mugged for it!
