Both are in their 70's and actually Biden is clearly in better physical health than Trump.

He was looking very, very tired in clips last night.

I honestly think there should be an upper age limit of 62 for presidents running for their first term (so a two-term president would be at most 70 on LEAVING office).

Yes, I think realistically he will only be able to do one term.

that's ok, then Kamala can do it the second term (i mean most Biden voters vote for Kamala now anyway, since if Biden is no longer capable to be president she takes over, which is a very interesting strategic vote)

IF Biden was to win the only route to Kamala being president is if she was to take over during his first term, in which case she would stand a good chance of being re-elected for the second term because sitting presidents have a clear advantage. She wouldn't win as a brand new candidate.

Biden is expected to take Michigan and Wisconsin while keeping Nevada which all but puts him in the Whitehouse

Georgia and Pennsylvania are 50/50 and will go to the wire but the votes that are yet to be counted are early votes which favour Biden massively

if the president dies there is no obligation to then install the VP. The party would decide who the next president would be

Biden has a lead of about 7000 votes in Wisconsin when i last checked so that doesnt rank as a certainty in my book

Its due to the mail in votes and the percentage Biden is winning them by which at the minute is as high as 80%

If mail-ins swing several states Trump (and more notably, Trump supporters) will almost certainly cry foul play. It'll get very, very messy.

its all very messy because many states are counting the mail ins last, which is why Bidens numbers come up as time goes on ... Thats why Trump wants them halted.

Yeah I liked Bernie and this is what I keep wondering , I really wish Bernie was in the race . This would of been his last chance too :(

Bernie is too left for the current US, he simply couldn't win. Maybe in a few decades time. I think the US *is* slowly beginning to tire of the healthcare situation and in general will soon want some form of affordable or universal healthcare - dirty dirty socialism!

I reckon an AOC presidency is possible at some point if she shifts slightly to the right/pragmastism over time (likely).

But not now.

bots 04-11-2020 11:18 AM

just to prove the point, Wisconsin is now a 20k lead for Biden

if they do that, they show themselves as very bad losers

most of Biden voters preferred mail-ins out of safety for covid-19 which is just being smart

so it being a close call now on normal votes alone, makes me think Biden might still edge it

She said she has plans for a run when shes old enough to legally apply as a candidate. I can see her doing really well

FFS Trump has slid out to 3/1. Should have waited. Or not bet at all.

In fact I should have bet Biden when he was 2/1 and had a guaranteed profit :fist:. I wasn't keeping a close eye on this until quite late last night though... I was planning on ignoring it completely until the result was in but my wife wanted to put the live results on telleh last night and I got sucked right in. Damnit.

michigan is down to a 2k lead from trump now, it was 30k 5 mins ago

user104658 04-11-2020 11:39 AM

I bottled it and cashed out about 10 minutes ago :joker:, got back 3/4 of what I staked, seconds later he went 4/1 (/...!) so I re-bet a tiny bit that will still net a slight overall profit if he does win.

This was wild. I watched these political events from the other side of the bookies table for nearly 10 years and I've never seen a flip like that in such a short space of time. Holy ****.
