Apparently all six teams have now pulled out.
Ban all six teams from representing our country on the European stage for 5 years, and also a points deduction for all six, minimum 20pts. |

There will be widespread repercussions. The days of pandering to rich owners is officially over. I can see legislation being brought in so that it cant be attempted again in the future

Inter Milan pulling out now

"Despite the announced departure of the English clubs, forced to take such decisions due to the pressure put on them, we are convinced our proposal is fully aligned with European law and regulations," the ESL said on Wednesday, adding it was "convinced that the current status quo of European football needs to change".
In an interview with Italian newspaper la Repubblica, Juventus chairman Andrea Agnelli said the remaining clubs will "press ahead" and the project still had "a 100% chance of being a success". |

What I find most sad about this is that the claim is that the younger audience are not engaged by football and that 90 minutes is too long
is this true? having endured an endless baseball game in Boston, I can't imagine why anyone would think 90 minutes with a break in between is too long :suspect: |
