Here are my poor offerings
The Fray – look after you http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUPwrp7yvdk Ben Harper – In the colors http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZwZDEMORtY Bens Brother – Find me an angel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZUjKiJWvYU |
The Fray - Look After You - Great song, didn't expect much from it. 8/10
Ben Harper - In The Colours - Not sort of thing, still a great tune. 6/10 Bens Brother - Find Me An Angel - Not my type of music, again. 4/10 |
1) The Fray - Look After You - I was worrying that it'd be another overplayed love ballad that'd grind my teeth to, but it's actually not that bad. The "Ohohohoh-ohohohoh" bit is a little annoying though, so I give it 6/10.
2) Ben Harper - In The Colors - I like his voice. The tune is very feel-good and catchy too, so this one's my favourite of the three. 8/10  3) Ben's Brother - Find Me An Angel - the background people going "WOO!" is a little annoying at the start, but the song is again very catchy. 7/10 |
ill do mine probably tommorow but i will do them ^_^
|
The Fray - Look After You-They are one of my favourite bands and this is one of the best songs on the album.9/10
Ben Harper – In the colors-I could see myself chilling out to this song but I was not over keen on the guys voice.5/10 Bens Brother – Find me an angel-Quite a good little tune, sort of song you can tap your foot to.6/10 |
1: Great song i really liked it and i recognised it from listtening to the album first time round 8/10
2: It was ok but maybe a bit too slow for my liking 6/10 3: It was an okish song but probbaly nothing i would listen to 7/10 |
1: Is this the bastard child of Travis's and Keane incestuous relationship? This is no different to any indie kid band ballad from the past 20 years. Same BPM. Same chord progression. Same mumbled vocals. Nothing wrong with it, but it has been done to many times before. 4/10
2: Fat happy man on a bass guitar. Good start, oh hang on. Man on piano with one of those hats Gilbert O'Sullivan used to wear. Not good, wait.... Bloke on drums with one of those hats so much loved by the ska boys. Getting worse. And there it is, the man on the bongo's with a pork pie hat. The over use of pretentious hats in the video pretty much sums up the song. 3/10 3: Any band that aspire to be Toploader deserve a quick kick in the balls. 2/10 |
The Fray - Look After You - Love The Fray. They are like the new Coldplay. I loved this song. And I know the more I hear it the better it will get. I need to dig out the lyrics. 9/10
Ben Harper - In The Colours - Reminded me of Paul Weller for some reason. A touch of Motown in there too (ever so slight). Nice to listen to on a sunny Saturday afternoon and chill with a beer. 7/10 Bens Brother - Find Me an Angel, The Borderline - Quite like this, and I am sure again it will grow on me. 7/10 Nice choices Sunny. |
