Manchester United make five changes to the side last lost their Europa League opener against Real Sociedad last Thursday.

Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Casemiro, Fred and Anthony Elanga drop out from that game, with Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, Scott McTominay, Bruno Fernandes and Jadon Sancho coming in.

Man Utd XI: De Gea, Dalot, Martinez, Varane, Malacia, McTominay, Eriksen, Fernandes, Antony, Sancho, Ronaldo.

bots 15-09-2022 05:48 PM

That was Cristiano Ronaldo's 699th goal at club level. Can he find number 700 today?

:worship:

bots 15-09-2022 06:13 PM

on the BBC live feed .....

United could do with another goal so they can chill out and make some changes. A Sheriff goal would make this very interesting.

Very interesting by Europa League standards of course...

Poor Shamrock.

Well done to West Ham though.

Sheriff did nicely against United, only a small difference loss, and still looking good for them as long as they win against Omonia and secure 3rd place further which is for conference league, that is their main goal i think, survive the winter in european cup football

:)

Nicky91 16-09-2022 01:32 PM

lucky Djurgarden in final minutes getting the 3 points with 3-2 home win over Molde

good fight for Kosovo's Ballkani against Slavia Prague although 2-3 loss

oopsie moment for Monaco home against Ferencvaros a 0-1 upset loss (hungarians now with 6 points :o)

Union Saint-Gilloise nice comeback and fight against Malmo

controversial red card for HJK Helsinki, and once again Van Boekel VAR  was it really a red card, i thought the defender was on one line with at least one more hjk defender, and so soon in the game :(

messy match between Rennais and Fenerbahce, Rennais giving it away thx to red card and the penalty moment in 90+2 still a point though

all is not lost though (with 4 matches left to play)

only 3 points behind Liverpool, Ajax, in terms of surviving winter in european cup football

will be tough but not really impossible

the surprise of the CL so far is Club Brugge i think, a surprising 1st place in a group with Porto, Atletico Madrid, Leverkusen

Spurs away against Frankfurt (with Mario Gotze) not an easy one either i think

the most open group has to be Group E

1. AC Milan 4
2. Dinamo Zagreb 3
3. RB Salzburg 2
4. Chelsea 1

only 1 point separated from each other

Bayern not missing Lewandowski at all

Ajax :hehe: what on earth happened there

Club Brugge 9 points rest on 3 points, omg who could've expected that too

Mario Gotze showing he still got it, doing his best to draw 0-0 against a premier league top team Spurs as underdogs Frankfurt

And another .. 2:0

He’s scored the same number of champions league goals as Ryan Giggs .. already at just 22 yrs old

Why take Haaland off at half time when he has scored two and would set a new recurs with 4 condensed hattricks in home games
