It sounded like I was listening to a bunch of 5 year olds, it was pathetic to watch.

And I meant to moan about this yesterday, but I forgot.

But it's about Sky Sports being about everything but Sport nowadays.

- Racism - Tick
- Homophobia - Tick
- Misogyny - Tick
- Mental Health - Tick
- Head injuries - Tick
- Fatherhood in Football - Tick
- Religion - Tick
- 5% to actual Football matches - Tick

Good luck if you're a fan of a Sport that isn't Football on Sky Sports News.

TNT Sports have got one now, when I'm just wanting to watch Villa get humiliated in Greece.

Teaching Sign Language - Tick

There's a time and place for segments like that, and it's not in the anticipation of a Football match.

I don't know about the video part.

But the song has a very good message behind it imo.

People making assumptions about you when they actually don’t know a thing about you. Literally not a single thing. Talking as if they know you when they certainly don’t.

But knowing that these people have very-much moved on in their lives so you can’t front it out with them and call them out for having a demoralising effect on you for a minute. Because you probably ain’t never gonna come face-to-face with them ever-again. Meanwhile, there are people you be missing who helped raise you out of a funk and believed in you but you’ll probably never see them again, either.

Argh. Life, ey?

Certain pubs whacking out the same old ’80s pop tunes. They might be alright but there are better uses of a Sky license.

Redway 11-05-2024 07:15 PM

Also. “I don’t see myself as inherently feminine because I don’t like the colour pink.”

Pink used to be a masculine colour for a minute until about 100 years ago. A lot of these things have no inherent gender identity whatsoever. Just the ones the society of the time ascribes to them. But it ain’t that deep, honey. Like what you like.

Isn't this too much common sense though, Redway?

People like to be daft.:joker:

People who can’t accept a happily-married couple because one of them’s your ex. The jealousy is ugly and just old news that no-one cares about anymore unless you were truly that wronged. Let it go.

Sugar-tins filled with bits that, like, so ain’t sugar. Nah, nah. I don’t need a sweet cuppa that bad.

The fact that apples as a fruit unto themselves tend to leave me feeling nauseous these days. Shame as it used to be my favourite fruit.

I don’t know. Maybe it’s God’s way of telling me to slow down with the old apple.

People in London in the media who say every day, I hope you're enjoying the lovely sunny weather - 27c.

Err, open your eyes. Look around the country. We don't all experience hot weather like that.

It was 13c and partially cloudy yesterday where I live.

So selfish.:fist:

Hypocrisy. Tired assumptions.

Redway 14-05-2024 02:46 PM

People who compare only the good things of one person’s past to the supposed negatives of their current existence to prove a narrative (I’m talking generally). No stretch in time is ever perfect. There are good and bad elements to a person’s existence at pretty-much every point in time. The fact that you’re not aware/weren’t aware, if it really is a case of simple lack of knowledge, doesn’t mean they didn’t/don’t exist. We don’t always know people as well or at least as fully as we like to think we do.

Redway 14-05-2024 04:34 PM

OneDrive. It’s so useless and doesn’t help with anything.

Redway 14-05-2024 05:29 PM

People admitting to needing Grammarly. Why can’t your grammar and punctuation naturally be faultless? (That’s the ideal.)

Anyway. It gives people like me a job. But even at that AI is taking over a lot of writing and editing jobs. I hope Chat GPT-dem are happy. In 10 years’ time even subtitlers might not even be needed.

Redway 16-05-2024 11:59 PM

People thinking they know the whole story about a sitiation while they at best know half and none of the sympathetic details, conveniently.

Redway 17-05-2024 02:05 AM

People who talk about men and women as a conglomerate. ‘Men are this,’ women are that.’ Contradictory tropes can be made either way and people are people either way. Talk about people, not people in terms of their binary (yeah, binary) distinction.

People who can’t align themselves with basic first-wave feminism should not be getting married anyhow.

Zizu 17-05-2024 03:10 AM

Little things that irritate you

Cyclists riding or mounting the pavement !!

Aghhhh

A guy riding the pavement.. coming towards me today .. I was calculating which side to move to when he seemed to slow down and career into a lampost ( drink / drugz/ both ) It sounds funny but that could have been me !!

Speaking of someone like that actually getting married.
