…..yeah, in giving it some thought…that’s a bit my final thought for the moment as well../Jerry Springer….I think the ‘problematic’ is more forum rules and the breaking of that was becoming problematic to moderate without banning so many members…

Beso 12-11-2023 12:52 PM

It would be so funny if it turned out to be fake. She would be a national treasure.

That's the problem with social media, once it's out there it's out there.

I just wish there was this same outrage for other disgusting tweets & messages out there.

I won’t make excuses for her age being in her twenties.
That is like saying people over a certain age can say what they wish as they are of the older generation.

The last bad tweet was in 2019, so it's not even that historical and to put it in perspective, even with the older tweets, she was still older when she wrote them than Tom is now, so using some peoples reasoning, is Tom not responsible for his words and actions? - That is ridiculous

What about the one from April 2023?

GlitterUK 12-11-2023 12:59 PM

I think when you go on a TV show then you open yourself up to different opinions some are good, some are bad. I think the DS post forum members were attacking one another from what I seen. I guess we won't know for certain until the show tonight, maybe close the post until then? But guess people will still discuss bits in other threads.

MTVN 12-11-2023 01:10 PM

Yeah I think DS just didn't want to deal with the moderating challenge, their forum has been much worse than here this series from what I've seen

I think as long as it's being discussed respectfully it's a valid news stories and you probably won't have much luck trying to suppress it. Worth reminding everyone that getting personal with other members is against the rules as are ott hateful comments about housemates

GlitterUK 12-11-2023 01:13 PM

I don't see the Trish comments any different from the Paul comments which have been made previously and some comments regarding the "garden gremlins". But the Trish comments look to have more substance as we have seen the alleged tweets.

Everyone could pop the word alleged in every now and then? haha

On a separate note MTVN where did you initially see talk/speculation ofthe comments?

This Reddit post, I think it's where it originated: https://www.reddit.com/r/bigbrotheru...m_her_account/

Before this all hit the fan about Trish & twitter , she was badly judged for her mothering skills, called nasty & aggressive and her wigs kept getting mean remarks .

Bear in mind this was early weeks, before we knew her. Other parents like Kerry wasn't judged for their parenting skills. But there we go .

Robertocarlo 12-11-2023 01:20 PM

So, is Trish still going to be on the after show tonight? If she is, then BB are making a huge mistake seeing others, in the past, were dumped for far less!!

The metro broke the story.

I seen the metro link think I posted it on a thread can't remember which as it showed some more of the alleged tweets.

The friend who complained to the producers has referenced the alleged twitter account as if it was legit but who knows only time will tell.

Honestly those ideas were pretty delusional anyway. I doubt any of the housemates are going to be able to use BB to launch a real career in mainstream TV anyway, that's not even really happening for Love Islanders anymore. They might get a few brand deals on Instagram and a few appearances on podcasts but that's about it.

GlitterUK 12-11-2023 02:06 PM

I wasn't a fan of Trish but feel disappointed that it is all true. Trish had a massive following they must all feel really let down.

…I can only speak for myself as a Trish supporter…?…and I think that any disappointment for me is more that she’s let herself down …I mean my life as a supporter isn’t going to change and never was, regardless of any BB related events etc…..but for Trish, her path going forward isn’t going to be easy because this public thing is going to impact so may aspects of her life, I feel…I’m glad that they weren’t paid votes for people because that would have become something different, I feel ….but I feel the let down is for herself, her family and circle friends etc and the other housemates, especially those who have felt close to her ….I hope she has so much support and a great close support circle going forward…

Even the BBC are now running this and it's currently the fifth most read story on there: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-67397575

Edit - now the second most read story on BBC news
