Pretending like Olly isn’t a credible artist is beyond laughable :joker:

he isn't

If he thinks his "song" is in anyway good it proves it

its trash as is the horrific staging

I'm not saying he's not. I'm just not sure he will stand out. This year the competition is really tough.
And that goes for the rest of Europe as well. Not just the UK.

many countries this year bring a piece of their culture to the show tbh

Armenia, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, France, Estonia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Serbia, Norway, Croatia and also Austria kinda with the eurodance

Georgia who have traditional instruments in the music of Firefighter

Luxembourg who are celebrating their comeback with one of their most talented singer-songwriters

Latvia who bring one of their biggest names in their music industry

we had Azerbaijan bringing more of their azerbaijani language as well as some brilliant Mugham chants (a typical traditional azeri style of music)

Crimson Dynamo 12-05-2024 07:35 AM

No points from the public

Poor song and awful staging

a total flop

If it's the total flop.
Since he wasn't as you said bottom 5 or no votes at all.

How do you describe the Countries in the 7 PLACES below him.

he is a professional singer with a string of "hits"

he got NO points from the public vote

that is floptastic

and what is worse is that this week we also found out he just cant sing very well

:umm2:

You think that.
I don't.
The British public don't either.

He wasn't last.
Your prediction of his votes and placing out the window.
He did better than most over the last 10 years.

Since you hate him so much it's surprising you cannot stop talking about him.
Very odd.

He’s got a beautiful voice .. it’s just so much harder when you’re dancing around like a contortionist.

He’s also a gifted songwriter and dancer plus he’s one of the nicest people in showbiz despite long term depression, anxiety and eating disorders ( not to mention years of bullying and a heartless, abusive father)

I could hardly hear him last night. While I heard all the other acts perfectly.
Not sure if sound problem?

They should have concentrated more on the singing. That worked for France, they were terrific and the staging really simple.

Pleased I was vindicated with my original thought that he would flop. The way everyone acted like he was a megastar who European audiences would love :umm2:

Spot on Kazanne, hello to you :wavey:

Actually I've just listened to Olly singing Dizzy stripprd back.
An acoustic take he's done with it .

How I wish he'd done it that way on on the night.

To those just criticising him, they'll hate it.
More likely too boring for.them.

His vocal stands out much more on the acoustic take.

Again on the night there were a few suggestive routines and staging but oddly only his routine of all men has other grown adults oh oh oh outraged.!!!

As you say Kazanne, double standards.

I think the null points and awful performance will be a career ender now

perhaps he can focus on his acting?

Erm people HAVE criticised half naked sexualised female performers ie Madonna , Rihanna , Miley Cyrus just to name a few . Like I've said before ... people are getting tired of the over sexualised theatrics.

The focus should be on their talent surely? . But more & more music artists keep pushing the sex theme ,as it gets them publicity . I find it repetitive .

bad results at eurovision don't need to end careers in my opinion

to be fair, he might've gotten some votes in certain countries, but maybe not enough for them to be in the 12-1 points zone from the countries their televote rankings

He's a better actor than a singer that's for sure.
