Did anyone watch the Williams match today? I only saw the last 40 or so minutes, Serena was on top form. The wooper might as well have given in and got in an early drink down the pub.

MarkWaldorf 30-06-2009 09:26 PM

LOL

I don't understand how any points are made...

BigSister 01-07-2009 11:24 AM

If the ball goes in one of the boxes on the left or right hand sides its in. If it goes out of the court its out or if it hits the net its out. I think thats the basic jist of it

Why is Lara Robson the young girl Playing
she has a bad back - keeps having Ice put on it.

It was better years ago
You are Fit - You Play

No one else at that level does that.

Good News
Laura Robson is Out
of the matches now,
playing while injured
that is so wrong.

He was playing a "Former" High Level player
Of course he can beat him,
but look at him all over the Floor,
he will not win this Wimbledon
his level is all over the place.

Gemmer-x 01-07-2009 06:23 PM

yay Murray :D
watching the roddick/Hewitt match atm, very close, Hewitt ftw!

Gemmer-x 01-07-2009 06:30 PM

LOL at Roddick arguing with the umpire.
C'mon Hewitt!

Gemmer-x 01-07-2009 07:01 PM

nooo Roddick wins :(
Great match though

BigSister 01-07-2009 07:02 PM

Yay go Roddick ^_^

Marc 01-07-2009 09:49 PM

Good win for Roddick. I don't think he poses as much of a threat to Murray as Hewitt would have.
Hopefully I will watch Murray on Murray Mound on Friday! :hello::hello:

BigSister 01-07-2009 09:53 PM

Boo. Robson was injured... and Lemoine could only JUST beat her shows how rubbish she is

InTheHood 02-07-2009 10:33 AM

Robson is another Murray, always coming up with injuries and exaggerating them.

Tennis players are all the same. If Robson was that good, she'd win with injuries, ala Serena and Venus.

How do you expect any 15 year old to carry on playing a sport when injured? and I'm pretty sure with such big prospects in tournaments, e.g. ranking points and prize money, Murray wouldn't make up injuries, he plays tennis because he likes it, so I'm sure he wouldn't risk the chance of doing well in tournaments and decide to retire with a made up injury. Also if either williams' sister had a back injury [which would cause obvious problems for serving] they would have to pull out, at least Robson carried on like a trooper and showed grit and determination.

If you don't know enough about tennis then don't post on this thread because your clearly lacking in some knowledge

That was one of the most ignorant posts I've ever seen on TiBB. :bored:

InTheHood 02-07-2009 11:49 AM

I was watching tennis and going to Wimbledon before you were even born, so to say I lack knowledge gives me a good chuckle.

Do you not remember Serena when she severely hurt herself against Hantuchova a couple of years back? She came back and won the game, despite not even being able to move. That's a true champion, someone who gets on with it.

Murray in his early years was renowned for his injuries when he was losing. He's not so bad at it now, but he used to use injuries, as have many players down the years, as excuses. Many of his opponents have spoken up against him in the past.

It doesn't detract from the fact that Lemoine won. I'm sorry you lack the grace and maturity to accept that.
