Horrible for her family and community |
I just hope he tells the police where her body is :(
|
Very sad news :(
|
My heart obviously goes out to April's family but I also feel so sad for the innocent children of Bridger who will have to live their lives with the knowledge of what he did to their friend and playmate. :(
|
This is just terrible.
Her poor family. I'm hoping that her body is found and her family can have a proper funeral. |

Iwan Jenkins of the Crown Prosecution Service said: "Having carried out a detailed review of the evidence gathered so far by Dyfed Powys police I have come to the conclusion there is sufficient evidence to charge Mark Bridger with murder and it is in the public interest to do so." so from this we can assume he did not confess, something about all this does not feel right I do hope they have the right person and that April will be found. |
Hmmm that's why they were very confident about letting the press name him then
that coupled with him not saying anything for ages during questioning |

I still think people are getting a bit ahead of themselves deciding he is guilty just because hes been charged. I really feel for the parents. I'm still hoping she turns up alive and well somewhere...as even if it was Bridger, the fact that april said she knew 'them' stands out for me, so in my head she could still be with the second person. |
That said, surely theres some evidence to point to her being dead...as its a bit odd that they presume shes dead after less than a week...when they presume Maddy mcCann is alive after 5 years or so.
|
It seems strange to me that they can have enough evidence to say he's murdered her when they haven't found a body and it sounds like he hasn't confessed?
|
some people say 'them' meaning a single person though
i do that sometimes |
Yeah I do too

And I really hate how every time there's a little sniff of murder Twitter and the rest of the internet goes wild with calls to bring back the death penalty and all sorts of graphic descriptions of how they'd kill them. Very disturbing. |
Oh god...saying that my twitter has gone mental with capital punishment ****e. Why don't people understand most murderers/other serious crimes would happily take that instead of being kicked crapless everyday?
|
They should be left in a room starving, being given gruel and water each day and thats all..
Capital punishment is an easy way out Bless little April, such a tragic tragic case :( |

God only knows what they are going through right now. Thoughts are with them. |

Regardless: he has been charged, not found guilty at this point and the place (internet wise) is awash with all sorts of punishments. So much for a fair trial: too many people on webland jumping find the man guilty - that's still to be proven. Not that that helps the poor girl's family and loved ones - hellish situation for them. |

it does not take a lot for someone to be charged with murder, they can go all the way to trial and still get proved not guilty.
if you look at the case of gill dando, barry george was convicted of her murder with the only forensic evidence being a spec of gun shot residue in a coat pocket. |
Im still having trouble getting my head around him allegedly attending the same parents evening as Aprils parents and then driving by and abducting her in front of another child seeminly on a whim as under normal circumstances she would not have been outside as she was given extra time to play out due to her glowing report...or so it has been reported in the press.

My brother is part of the Shropshire team helping in this case, they are still searching in earnest and who knows a miracle might happen, the worst senario is for her never to be found.I feel for her family,no one can ease that pain.

I too hope that police have substantial evidence and haven't put Aprils life on the line and ruined another family if they have not got the evidence for a conviction... I just hope that there is some closure to this case for aprils family. It's just so very very sad. |
This story seems to have slipped out of the news recently, yet there are still questions unanswered , why have they not found the girls body yet ? , as they have charged the man with murder they must surely have found some major evidence which links him with the abduction, or did he admit it and then deny again. Did he have an accomplice , but where is her body ?? Is she still alive somewhere trafficked to the feed the desires of some Paedophile ring. But given her medical condition this is probably unlikely.
As I say many questions still unanswered regarding this case. |
I don't know how they cope...
|
...yes, as if it isn't heartbreaking enough..I can't imagine what not finding her body must be like for them...just unimaginable pain..
Meanwhile the police search continued. But for the first time officers admitted that they had to prepare for the possibility that April's body would not be found. The search for the girl continued with fresh police officers from across the UK arriving. Police were moving their search headquarters from Machynlleth leisure centre to a community hall, partly to allow the town to try to start the long process of returning to normal. Superintendent Ian John, said: "I want to reassure people we are continuing the search and we will follow this through." He said one of the key elements remained to keep searching the River Dyfi as tide and current meant it was constantly changing. He said no time limit had been set on the search but it was under "constant review". Asked if there was a time when it would have to be called off he said: "That is something we have to prepare for." |
I was just thinking how I had heard nothing about this for a week. How odd.
|
Still a huge deal here in Gwynedd and Powys. (Gwynedd is my County, Powys where Machynlleth is). Pink ribbons still everywhere :(
|
They ARE still looking for her, helicopters out looking for a grave.
|
Of course it is, it is here too. Wales has had a terrible run of crimes recently, when these things happen in your community it doesn't seem real you just feel stunned.
