Well I guess we'll see what happens after the show, but I know in the past .... there's even been parents outraged at housemates for dressing a certain way ,or saying inappropriate things, and how their kids watch it . But BB isn't a kid friendly show anyway  .

I know young people watch it ,but think about it ... everyone is swearing etc ,so you could argue all their jobs depending on what they do of course...will affect
their situation after BB.

I just think back to all the weird unscrupulous characters BB have had , who have actually been threatening & vulgar and still been popular. And I've thought ehhh :conf: .

Cause that’s what I was getting at  continue to gloss over the behaviour just cause you don’t like Lily.

Like @Garfie said ....once you start using wording/ language like " grabbed" & " hands on throat", it instantly freaks us all out into thinking it was more extreme than it actually was .

The way things are described is misleading and can be damaging. Even his row with Sarah in chicken drama,
was already twisted... like he was some threatening
thug.

I'm not glossing over anything, I think it would be more worrying if he didn't realise anytime he over stepped a mark.

Of course and I did acknowledge that he didn't actually grab her neck but he did say oh I can't do that and took his hand away quickly which was what I thought was a little sinister

I recognised you did, Niamh, and I agree with you in feeling a little uncomfortable by what we observed.

Whilst feeling this particular incident was described and blown up to be something it wasn’t, given the video evidence, I absolutely agree that the combination of information you present here, Ammi, does raise some red flags, and justifiably creates a sense of discomfort in many, including myself.

What? I haven’t changed my description at all? He did grab her neck. I used “his hand touched her neck” because you tried to paint it as if his hand barely hovered near it when there was literally skin to skin contact of his hand on her neck, I’ve seen the clip multiple times so don’t try and act like I’m trying to force any kind of narrative just because you don’t agree.

It’s not about me “feeling” anything, Ali literally utters one word in an episode and there’s 5 different threads saying she’s racist, a nasty witch, a bully etc. yet there’s crickets for when Marcello talks about Sarah’s genitals, gaslights her into believing she’s the problem in an argument he started. When I said I’m tired of people constantly defending his actions while vilifying other people like Ali that’s just the truth. Ali has not behaved flawlessly and I won’t deny that but you first instinct was to completely deny what’s literally on video, his hand was around her neck even if it was for barely a couple of seconds.

So yes, enough said.

Seriously? The amount of irony in your comments is unfathomable to me, as you are constantly contradicting your own statements!

I credit you with the intelligence to recognise that there is a massive difference between grabbing and touching, and of the picture that emerges as a result! You are now choosing to exclaim in horror ‘there was literally skin to skin contact!’ when I’ve never suggested there wasn’t and, in fact, clearly stated in my own comments that is what I witnessed!

Then you throw out the accusation that ‘your first instinct was to completely deny what’s literally on video’! I suggest that you should, perhaps, re-read my comments, as the evidence is there in black and white, and prove without any doubt, that you are incorrect. Another, irony is that the only person you are fooling by your impulsive and ill-considered accusations is yourself! It seems to me that you are shooting out accusations without allowing yourself to think about what you are actually reading or what, in fact, you are trying to say.

Yet again, you then link a comment I’ve made about one particular Marcello incident with unfair posts that others (not me!) have made about Ali, in your determination to attack and create conflict with me! You add, ’I’m tired of people constantly defending his actions while vilifying other people like Ali’ thereby, implying that is what I am doing, in choosing to aim your comments at me.

And here’s the next irony - very early on I posted my criticism of Marcello’s vulgar ‘bending a woman over the sofa’ comment as being suggestive of the fact he saw and treated women as objects. Alongside that, I have posted a ridiculous number of comments in defence of Ali, to the point that I’ve been attacked for that! It’s called basing my opinions on individual events, not casting wild aspersions based on a judgement I’ve decided upon and stubbornly refuse to adjust and adapt as more information presents itself.

So that just leaves the biggest irony of all…..your criticisms, accusations and attacks on me are targeted at my thoughts and views, which are, in fact, pretty much similar to your own! Unfortunately, you seem unable to see that!

Now, perhaps go and aim your bullets at someone who deserves them, rather than targeting them at someone who doesn’t. And, when you do, perhaps it would be wise to spend some time in considering what has been posted by others, as well as your own wild generalisations, before deciding to respond.
