Britney Spears is not “irate” that Jennifer Lopez will be sharing the same stage she’s been using for two years for her “Pieces Of Me” show at the Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, nor is she trying to prevent her from doing so, despite a made-up tabloid story. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the report. We’re told it’s “completely stupid and wrong.”
According to Life & Style, Spears is “irate that she now has to share her stage with Jennifer Lopez.” The tabloid quotes a so-called “source” as saying, Spears is “doing everything she can to make sure J. Lo is out of town within weeks.” The same supposed “source” adds that Spears “requested to have larger props built for her show so she can take over the prop space J. Lo has, just to make her feel unwelcome.”
While Gossip Cop was investigating this, we thought this story sounded familiar, and then we remembered we busted Life & Style when it made the exact same fake claim one year ago, except the twist in November 2014 was that Lopez seemingly had a problem with Spears. Yes, the tabloid essentially regurgitated its year-old phony story that claimed Lopez “doesn’t want to share the same stage” as Spears, but switched around who had an issue with whom.
Regardless, Gossip Cop looked into this new(ish) claim, and we’re exclusively told the magazine’s story about Spears being “irate” and trying to hinder Lopez’s upcoming Las Vegas show is “completely stupid and wrong.”
