...Deadpool../as recommended by TS..his story reminded me of Ben Grimm's in some ways..a great movie/a great cast..I think Colossus was my favourite superhero character and Teenage Warhead but Ryan Reynolds was perfect as Deadpool also...8/10....

He's an amazing director. How everything was symmetrical, the colours, dialogue etc... awesome.

I need to watch his other movies - Royal Tenenbaums and Moonrise Kingdom especially.

Dr Strange. It was fabulous, I really enjoyed it and I hope there will be sequels. I think it could be a winning franchise. 10/10:hee:

V/H/S - 3,0/5

Very weird and strange one this was. Has quite a bit of scares, which is good for a horror film. The second story didnīt really fit in the theme of the movie (4 our of 5 of the stories were supernatural themed) and felt it was more suitable for a different movie or could have been a whole new movie itself. Because it was in this movie, it was my least favorites of the stories.

..Prayers for Bobby...I watched this movie because of something in SD section recently and it was recommended on a link/vid on a topic there...it's heartbreakingly sad, Bobby's story..his love for his family and their religious beliefs disabling them from being able to accept who he was but it's also uplifting as well.../sad/beautiful/I would totally recommend......10/10...

Calderyon 21-11-2016 11:49 PM

V/H/S 2 - 2.85/5

About as weird as the first one, but the stories matched together much better this time, even though there was maybe too much zombies involved. Even with all that the first one was better, i think. Had some good scares on this one as well.

Just watched Star Wars VII - loved it from start to finish. One of the few recent JJ Abrams projects that hasn't left me bored to tears  9/10 because I thought more could've been revealed about Finn, Rey & the gay fighter pilot

Day before, I watched Sicario. It was hugely unsatisfying from an empathetic point of view (really wanted Emily Blunt to shoot him at the end) (don't think that's a HUGE spoiler really, you'll only know who I mean if you see it) but Benicio Del Toro was great and it had that same compelling, dark, "oh god this is all horrible" vibe that Drive did. Before Wending Refn went a bit too crazy and pursued neon lights to accompany his gore fantasies in lack of plots. Supporting cast was great too, surprised to see Posh Kenneth in Hollywood. The entire night-vision sequence was some of the tensest film I've seen in a long time. Also 9/10.

Livia 01-12-2016 01:34 PM

Oculus. Predictable. I'm not much of a horror fan though, unless it's really good. And this wasn't. 4/10

Deadpool. Ridiculously violent and far-fetched. I loved it. 9/10

So I took my little cousins to see Moana and tbh I think I enjoyed it more than they did

Calderyon 04-12-2016 03:11 PM

Jason Bourne - A good enough film and a reasonable adding to the Bourne saga, but not as good as the previous ones. 3/5

Sully: - Miracle on the Hudson

A telling of the story of the investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board of Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, the pilot who landed on the Hudson river in New York after a bird strike knocked out both engines in 2009.

8/10 -lost marks because it seemed to jump back and forth from the investigation to the forced water landing, so it did seem disjointed at times, but then I'm not Clint Eastwood who directed it, so what do I know?

You have to sit through the end credits, as the Easter egg were scenes of the real passengers of that flight and the real Captain Sullenberger.
