I'm not really fussed over his wage. "Up to 300k" probably means bonus fees Re part of it, but even if it isn't. He's one of the most marketable footballers on the planet and makes the club a ridiculous amount of money. Always find comparing footballers to nurses annoying. The money in football is ridiculous so wages are going to reflect that. As big a **** Rooney may be, I prefer the money going to our players than the Glazers' pockets at least :laugh:

But Moyes has always rated Rooney though since their Everton days and i'm not surprised he considers him important to the clubs rebuild and plans for the future.

I'm not disputing that. However, there is no way more Wayne Rooney type players will be arriving. Not as long as that waste of space is manager. And no CL football to offer.

Edit: Gundogan might be a possibility, purely because no other club is willing to take a chance on his fitness. Aside from that, I fully expect another pathetic summer.
