Jason. 11-07-2016 09:32 PM

This is honestly serving C4 BB final. It's quite embarrasing how BB finales aren't like this anymore

Jason. 11-07-2016 09:33 PM

It's back next year :clap1:

Braden 11-07-2016 09:33 PM

That twist was ridiculous. Why on earth would anyone not have shared the money?

Ross. 11-07-2016 09:34 PM

screaming at Caroline making everyone else go in the pool but refusing too herself

Drew. 11-07-2016 09:34 PM

Gutted i stopped watching when BB started, it was great up until then. Will have to watch it all properly soon

Mokka 11-07-2016 09:34 PM

Predictable result... but the only right one!!!

Good ending to a good series

I'm impressed by the final tbh. It really did feel like an event and it gave me C4 BB final teas.

Was last years like that as I didn't watch last years final?

A recommission has just been confirmed by ITV!

Quote:

Love Island will be BACK for a third series of the hit show next summer in 2017.

The final of this summer's second series only finished tonight but ITV2 have confirmed it's already been recommissioned for 2017.

This year's series began on May 30th as eleven singletons arrived in a luxury villa in the hope of finding love, and has gone on to become compulsive summer viewing, growing its audience week on week throughout the series.

The show has achieved record viewing figures this year - doubling last year's series average - to rival shows on the 'big five' stations.

Rosemary Newell, Head of Digital Channels and Acquisitions for ITV, said: “Love Island has come back so strong this year, and become unmissable viewing, particularly with younger viewers, which is our focus on ITV2 .

"As six weeks of hugely entertaining television come to a close, we’re delighted to be bringing the show back for a another run next year.”

Richard Cowles, Creative Director ITV Studios, said: "We couldn't be more proud of the show which has found its perfect match in ITV2. We had well over a million loyal viewers tuning in to each episode and a million more watching via the ITV Hub - all desperate to get the latest news from the Love Island villa.

"We can't wait to do it all again next year and have already started the search for a brand new cast of singles looking for love."

GME Director of Programming, Tony Moulsdale, said: "Love Island has gone from strength to strength with a fantastic second series drawing an ever larger and more engaged audience. We're delighted to be working with ITV Studios to deliver more next year."

Absolutely fantastic news and I'm sure ITV must be delighted at how well it's performed. They were clearly banking on series 2 being a success after the huge promotional campaign, so I'm glad it's payed off for them. Looks like they've got the next big format on their hands!

Jason. 11-07-2016 09:53 PM

I'm happy. They've done well this year. :clap1:

And it's nice having both LI and BB to look forwards to in the summer.

trash they ruined the twist, why would ANYONE say they want to steal on live TV? It's a lot easier just to reveal a card a la Goldenballs

Plus there's no way of knowing if the other person would've split or not?! Dumb change, hopefully they revert back next year cause someone is bound to steal it eventually and it'll be one of the greatest television moments of the decade :cheer2:

She did the same last year too, and rather messily they cut to the credits right as someone jumped in the pool so no one saw it anyway :joker:

You watched last series but didn't watch the final?! Eh?! Why would anyone do that :joker:

But yes it was exactly the same bar the twist where Jess and Max both had two letters containing Love or Money and had to pick one each (like Split or Steal on Goldenballs), and I seem to remember most of the cast were there?
