Oh god :joker:

I personally don't think financial crimes should result in imprisonment, but I don't make the rules and depending on the amounts, several people's dream of seeing him in orange overalls might come true!

I disagree with this as it's nonsensical to me, but just wondering where you stand on bank robberies?

By financial crimes I meant moving numbers around on a screen, not pointing a gun in someone's face and making them hand over cash :joker:

What if M21's accountant moves billions from his accounts to his, leaving M21 penniless? Just numbers on a screen?

Crimson Dynamo 17-11-2020 12:10 PM

What you're basically saying there though is that wealthy people should be able to get away with stealing, because it's pretty much always people who are already loaded who move those numbers

Tom4784 17-11-2020 01:35 PM

You can **** around with the law but you don't **** around with the IRS.

Pretty much, a grim take.

It's so odd to me how the non-rich will defend the rich's gaming of the system.

Easier to look down and judge those 'below' us, I suppose.

I think there's also an element of 'I'm gonna be rich some day, so all this stuff will apply to me eventually so I must oppose it now!'. Otherwise known as delusion.

Nah, gaming the system, be it avoiding paying too much tax or swindling a few extra quid in benefits, it's all good, because ... **** the system :joker:
