Not ordinary people interviewed in the war zone ... a few of their representatives/spokespeople on telly last week

there is going to be a huge level of frustration among ordinary ukranian people, and in those circumstances they will lash out and blame everyone that is not sharing their pain. It's quite understandable. I think we have to accept that having to run to another country for safety is going to be a severe mental trauma for many of them

We should be doing more than lip service.

Britain took on massive amounts of polish refugees during world war 2, and many of their offspring I can call my best friends back home in scotland.

Their families flourished afterwards, so much so that there has been a time when the name
Poloczek was the young lad on horse back leading the yearly parades.

The name Wichary, being the surname of my best friend since I was 17, his brother not to far off being 2nd.

By standing by doing nothing we are stopping the future growth of this country, by allowing the slaughter of too many ukranians that we could have stood shoulder to shoulder with, not just today, but for generations to come, we are destroying trust for what may be needed when they need to come here en mass.

If we stand up now, we stand up for the future, a future we can at last hold our heads up high in.

Is this some sort of unpublished Keir Starmer speech you’ve got your hands on?

Have you heard of the Homes for Ukraine scheme? You may be ‘standing doing nothing’ but hundreds of thousands of Brits aren’t

Of course I've heard of the homes for ukrainians scheme, I've tried to talk my mother and her 4 bedroom detached house into signing up for it.

When does it begin again?

Have you watched the clip ?

The context is paramount …. everyone , Boris included , were simply laughing at something said before Rishi started speaking ...

This is why you cant be taken seriously, you see something, grabbit thinking it's a golden nugget, without realising it's an old disintegrating dog turd.

He shouldn't be acting like a clown and pulling faces in the first place.

should people be deadly serious all the time? I'm not defending boris, but people laugh and joke, thats the way we are, no matter what the circumstances are. I know i've laughed at inappropriate moments. I would say Boris's actions during this war have shown he takes it very seriously

I think it's racism and homophobia that makes him so popular on this island.

What utter nonsense.. watch it again without your Boris hating blinkers on

Boris along with everyone else was laughing at the previous comments .. they were all still interacting with each other .. then Rishi started on another matter whilst they were still smiling ...

Are they all supposed to change to a very serious face in an instant ?

Now THAT would have looked strange !

Not really sure that after comparing brexiteers to Ukrainians fighting off Russians, that being seen to be laughing at them is a a good look. He was just partying and having a laugh while we were all locked up. If you look at the destruction caused in 3 years, maybe he should be taking things a little more seriously
