It's not totally green, it's like a green layer over the screen so blue things look purple and stuff

I take back my recommendation of acer from the other day, one of my laptops hard disks messed up yesterday and even though its still under warranty they are trying to tell me I need to pay 65 quid for it to be picked up to get sorted then they will send me another bill for them fixing it, Ive complained though and I'm waiting on a reply.

Mine is an acer, I have it around 3 years and haven't had any problems with it so far (never had to deal with them either though)

michael21 31-01-2012 08:03 PM

poor Niamh. have you try tuning it of then on again :suspect:

Josy 31-01-2012 08:04 PM

All of my pcs and laptops are acers and they are all ok apart from the one that messed up yesterday but if they are going to charge me for a repair when its still under warranty I wont ever be buying from them again.

Maybe one of the pins in your monitor cable broke? that could have made it turn green.

Try replacing the cable or even just removing it then reconnecting it.

InOne 31-01-2012 08:04 PM

Mine is acer too, it's always worked well. brap

King Gizzard 31-01-2012 08:05 PM

My screen broke, didn't go green though niamh, it just flickers

I took it apart to try and fix it but it wont go back together now *facepalm*

It is likely that your colleagues are playing a prank on you as you can change the colour blends of the screen on the settings displayed when you click the buttons on the hub of the screen. It will be the RGB balance an Red and Blue will have been decreased so the majority is green.
