Young Hudson Smith holding off Chris Brown in the 4x400 relay to win us Gold :worship: we have reached our best ever Gold tally now since we won 3 boxing Golds in a row as well

Brother Leon 02-08-2014 07:28 PM

Quality final leg. Take a bow.

Marc 02-08-2014 07:31 PM

This 14 year old :joker: he looks so young!

Headie 02-08-2014 07:35 PM

That 4x4 win was the first Gold for England on the Athletics track (excluding parasports).

Hudson Smith will probably go into the Europeans in two weeks as fave to win Gold now, especially since Maslak is injured.

Lol the commentator jizzing over Tom Daley

Brother Leon 02-08-2014 08:20 PM

i'm going to miss these games :( [not enough to bother watching world championships and stuff like that but still]

Novo 02-08-2014 09:03 PM

Heartbreaking stuff in the Hockey, 16 seconds away from the Gold after leading 1-0 and then we get beat in the shoutout, my Alex is in tears

Black Dagger 02-08-2014 09:36 PM

It is just a bit annoying that Daley will get all the credit and recognition when the girls and Laugher/Mears had a great games as well.

Jack_ 03-08-2014 04:38 PM

Very nearly got gold in the last two squash matches, would've been nice for the last events to finish with us winning but ah well

That's the sport over  loved the credits montage at the end of BBC1's coverage <3

Hoping for an Eddie Butler roundup this evening :amazed:

Black Dagger 03-08-2014 05:26 PM

Bit sad that it will all be over. Been obsessed. Not watched anything but the Commonwealth games bar the Eastenders omnibus since it's been on

Constantly had the schedule up on my IPad as well so I knew all the results and what I had to watch when.

Looking forward to all the montages at the closing ceremony.

Jack_ 03-08-2014 05:32 PM

Lulu confirmed for the closing ceremony tonight which is of course amazing but I've thought this since the opening...if The Proclaimers don't show up at some point someone's failed their job

Black Dagger 03-08-2014 05:40 PM

Still waiting for Michelle McManus tbh

Jack_ 03-08-2014 07:02 PM

yaaaaaasss <33333

Jack_ 03-08-2014 08:03 PM

slay it Lulu :worship:

Novo 03-08-2014 10:35 PM

The closing ceremony was a massive improvement in the opening ceremony even if he did feel like a new years eve party at times

Black Dagger 04-08-2014 12:43 AM

Prides were lovely. Kylie and Jessica Mauboy were also great as well.

Good show.

Right what is my next sporting event, I obvs have the football season and US Open coming up and worlds Gymnastics are in October and the Aquatic Europeans are in a couple of weeks. When is the Athletics on.

the truth 04-08-2014 02:11 AM

theyve broken loads of attendance records and tickets sales records...a few million sold.....i thought their opening and closing ceremonies were beautiful and heartfelt....obviously a much much smaller budget than london olympics but i found it more emotional....scotland is a fabulous country and they held a fabulouse games, bravo the jocks!!!
