Shievonne lost to Conor of all people. In a vote to save. By a margin of over 60%.

lmao at Derek making it to the black female collage.
Shievonne's eviction outfit was panto, that's what I remember her for. |

She was quite shallow with her "I like puuseh", she did herself no favour. Saying that, I don't justify the horrible reception she got on eviction night, the crowd went automatically on "off! off!"-mode.

Dont think its all down to racism, bb seems to have fallen into choosing a certain type of house mate like Charley who was brash and loud(Although she was the one I liked most during the hotel task), therefore creating their own stereotypes. I think they have also done it with male house mates. ie flambouyant gay males Mark last year, Aaron this year.
It seems like stereotypes are the safe option for them, but not necessarily confined to black females. |

I definitely don't think there is racism as an issue in BB. I think BB is one TV show where diversity is embraced and celebrated - the quirkier the better. I think most true fans don't even think about a HMs race these days, they just see the person.
But i can't help feeling there is some kind of sexism at play at times, especially with the eviction crowd. Watching this year i couldn't help notice that all the women (bar Chloe) got booed and heckled - usually for no reason. I don't know if it's sexism per se but there seems to be a lot of crowd hostility towards women who are attractive and strong minded ie perceived as a 'threat' in the less open-minded of the crowd members. They didn't boo Chloe as (presumably) they had pigeon-holed her as the non-threatening 'girl next door type' but if she was more outspoken and sexually forthcoming, i bet she would have got booed like all the others. |
I actually agree with the above post.
I was watching the BB6 final the other day, when the ex-HMs were welcomed back ALL the women were booed apart from Mary whos reception was OK And all the men were cheered bar Maxwell who had a few boos. It's unbelievacle, especially when many of the men behaved much worse than the women. |
Seriously as a black person I find this so silly and pulling out the race card quicker than my dad wished he pulled out my mum.
Adjoa, Toya, Pauline, Charley, Gina: all did things worthy of eviction imo Makosi and Gina both came third People largely sided with Brian Belo over Helen and he's black. What I find racist is Big Brother filling a quota of two black people a year, what about other ethnicities and nationalities. Bring in more Asians I say. |

If you want to claim racism then you need to explain why Brian Belo won. Or why Nadia won. Or why Narinder was so popular. |

Adele was an awful bully and I couldn't stand Mel in BB1 and it certainly wasn't her race that was the problem. Yeah, to be honest, with the exception of Hira, who didn't really do anything, they are all horrible housemates. |
alol people dismissing any possible racism because one black person won.
