At least it hasn't gone below a million yet.

Cal. 13-06-2016 09:46 AM

I'm hoping that as long as it stays above a million they're not going to do anything too drastic like Armageddon, 4 in 4 out etc.

This.

Also first weekend...

BB16:
Launch- 1.83m
Weds- 1.19m
Thurs- 1.20m
Friday- 1.35m
Saturday- 750k
Sunday- 1.13m

BB17:
Launch- 1.6m
Weds- 1.45m
Thursday- 1.2m
Friday- 1.05m
Saturday- 1.04m
Sunday- 1.06m [excl +1] looking at around 1.2m

So despite launching more than 200k lower, it has held up better especially considering it has The Euro's up against it (well since Friday). So far after the launch, only the Friday has been lower than BB16, Weds, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday all rated better.

The first BB16 Monday got 1.13m, so we'll see if it can surpass that, I personally think, yes

Babayaro. 13-06-2016 10:14 AM

Bye I totally forgot about Armageddon week. Jesus christ what a mess that was

Cal. 13-06-2016 10:15 AM

Armageddon was basically 4 in 4 out spread across a week instead of a night.

They got rid of 4 housemates (Marlon, Biannca, Danielle and Kimberly) and we got 3 newbies.

*mazedsalv** 13-06-2016 10:19 AM

So, 1.2m incl +1.

I was hoping for that 1.3m :( but it's still another episode up on the equivalent BB16 episode which got 1.13m.

Cal. 13-06-2016 10:22 AM

So this series is doing okay so far.

I wouldn't care if the quality was crap but if the quality is good I want ratings to match so they know what we want to see.

TomC 13-06-2016 10:29 AM

So BB16's average so far is 1.24 and BB17's is 1.256. So actually not much of a difference, but I'm really hoping that there is no desperate twist.

Did BB16 continue to fall for the first eighteen days?

Cal. 13-06-2016 10:31 AM

They only did the desperate twist last year because they were getting told off for figures below 1 million I think. I remember a post on DS claiming the mass eviction, newbies and an increase in live feed were coming because of the figures below 1 million and then 4 in 4 out happened and that's when Ben Frow finally said they weren't allowed live feed unless ratings were 5 million.

It did.

Here are the ratings from the first Monday onwards (leading to them panicking):

Monday- 1.13m
Tues- 1.08m
Weds- 1.17m
Thurs- 1.05m
Friday- 1.10m
Sat- 640k
Sun- 901k
Mon- 877k
Tues- 1.00m
Weds- 974k
Thurs- 1.09m
Friday- 1.10m (4IN4OUT)

Cal. 13-06-2016 10:33 AM

Adjoa's impact.

TomC 13-06-2016 10:36 AM

The first 18 days of BB16 were truly quite dull IMO it's no surprise ratings fell.

BB-Germany 13-06-2016 10:52 AM

Tbf the ratings are quite impressive with the football going on.

The fact that it launched with only 1.6m and is getting 1.2m against the Euro's is impressive (and Love Island) I agree especially as it's up on last year. The soaps have only been getting 4.5-6.5m against the Euros

Good officials next Monday you reckon?

Vanessa 13-06-2016 12:33 PM

The Marco effect

Rob! 13-06-2016 02:20 PM

It is doing well - it's a shame it has so much competition (and still to come) this year because on it's own the word of mouth this series is creating could be awesome. It's a shame that they don't include My5 figures in the ratings.

Jamesy 13-06-2016 02:21 PM

It's doing incredibly well given everything on TV at the moment, and given how last year's series was awful.

When do the first set of officials get released?

Rob! 13-06-2016 02:32 PM

Remember when we all panicked when BB14 launched to 2.13m?

We'll get the ones from launch-last night (Sunday), next Monday.

I reckon they will add ~350k.

I enjoyed the first few weeks of BB16 - it was quite refreshing and it showed you don't need constant arguments - it felt like C4 BB imo. The people who say it was dull are the reason why C5 pressed the panic button last year and gave us 4in4out and it got even worse from then on with the legends, Cashbomb, etc.

When you compare it to BB17's first week it does look dull in comparison as this series has been quite messy and explosive - they've both been different but I still enjoyed them both.

I would say it felt like the start of BB1, BB2 and BB4 and i just didn't have the patience for it

I definitely think that BB16 and BB17 first weeks were actually at complete opposite ends of the spectrum.

crazycolaist 13-06-2016 05:47 PM

when do officials come 4 weeks aint it?

TomC 13-06-2016 06:11 PM

Officials from last week come a week today

*mazedsalv** 13-06-2016 06:28 PM

Big games coming up still, so I predict 1.11m-1.2m until around 2 weeks when there are a few days without it clashing due to the group stages being over.

Tonight- 1.16m
Tomorrow- 1.20m and 1.24m for the 10pm Twist Reveal
Wednesday- 1.31m
Thursday- 1.13m
Friday- 1.10m

Will. 14-06-2016 09:48 AM

0.93 excluding +1

So should be around 1.05-1.1

Not amazing but it was up against LI which got 800K-900K and Made In Chelsea which got around 500K and the football which got over 6M.
