14 eps, not including the reunion

TomC 15-09-2016 09:32 PM

So literally there are thirteen episodes and then a ninety minute finale?

I was hoping I was closer to the end lol

TomC 15-09-2016 09:39 PM

That was such a strange episode :joker: Such a bizarre twist, as surely the returnees are unlikely to have any traction in the game?

Anyway, I am struggling for favourites in this... I like Jon and Rupert cos of their messiness as characters, and I also think Sandra and Christa are likable.

JerseyWins 15-09-2016 10:05 PM

Fairplay  Sandra after a while

rk3388 15-09-2016 11:37 PM

Christa and Rupert <3

And Lillian and Fairplay for the entertainment they brought

TomC 16-09-2016 12:35 PM

YES Lil is back! <3

I did warn you

I know, but I had no idea what you meant (until the very moment it was revealed people were returning :joker:)

TomC 16-09-2016 12:54 PM

I don't understand why Burton and Lil are competing, I thought they had automatic immunity from the first TC?

TomC 18-09-2016 09:06 PM

I am quite happy Rupert went tbh, I'd grown tired of him. I really couldn't stand his arrogance at times. Ok his final confessional was quite sad though.

I really am beginning to really like Jonny Fairplay, he is just TV gold.

Next one looks like a bit of a corker, I hope Jon doesn't leave though?

Just a shame next week's episode is so unmemorable and uneventful

You already used that one (or are you being serious this time?)

MB. 18-09-2016 09:22 PM

100% deadly serious

Jack_ 18-09-2016 09:22 PM

Watch the next episode immediately

MB. 18-09-2016 09:22 PM

I'm not lying

TomC 18-09-2016 09:24 PM

FFS I need to have an early night :(

I will watch it tomorrow night.

I just want to reiterate how much I'm looking forward to All-Stars. I know it's rubbishy apparently, I'm just so intrigued to see what it's like.

Macie Lightfoot 18-09-2016 09:25 PM

MB sometimes lies but sometimes he tells the truth.

Rupert  his boot episode is all-time though (but so is just about every episode this season lol), the imagery of the snake crushing the lizard's neck and eating it whole gives me the chills every time. The foreshadowing and symbolism was at an all time high that episode.

Jack_ 18-09-2016 09:26 PM

I felt the same regarding All Stars, I have a bit of a penchant for them

I liked it more than I thought I would because of the criticism but it's not amazing by any stretch of the imagination and there's a lot of negatives, both metaphorically and literally.

TomC 18-09-2016 09:29 PM

Oh oops, so Ep11 really is bad? It didn't look it.

Ep11 is one grand mother of an episode

Tbh most of the Pearl Islands episodes have been very eventful, compared to say Australia (which, on reflection is possible my second least favourite out of the first seven?)

I don't get whatever symbolism it was meant to be :worry:

rk3388 18-09-2016 11:00 PM

Is it Jon the snake and Rupert the lizard? Haven't seen the season for years but just a guess

TomC 19-09-2016 08:02 PM

Poor Christa taking the blame :(
