I dunno, I feel like Robron have at least had development to make the relationship feel somewhat believable, although admittedly I haven't seen huge amounts of Emmerdale to know just how it's been done.

At the beginning when they had an affair like Kate/Rana it was the same. No development, just a couple of random shags suddenly became "true love" then once Robert killed Katie it turned into a life of crime constantly keeping them together and some sick and twisted "I only do the things I do for you" :yuk:

It only seems "developed" now because they've been dragging it on for nearly 4 years.

Didn't they have like a two hander at Christmas or something?

I think they should have handled Rana being gay without Katie somehow.

The actress who plays Rana is very talented and the one who plays Kate's best performance was the leaked vid of her sucking off Gareth Gates.

I don't like the character of Kate very much either, very selfish

This whole thing with the letter he intercepted after hearing Carla was ill is something casual viewers won't pick up on or remember.

Just a shame they had that period with Maria where he just became a completely unlikable arsehole.

I'd hardly call myself a casual viewer of Corrie, but not even I remember the letter.

That would be amazing. Urgh, Corrie is untouchable when it really tries. Kate Oates has really been incredible, whatever the poor delicate flowers who want to watch hotpots all week long say.

I also am here for it being almost a total surprise, because that's how it happens, sadly. 9 times out of 10 there's nothing anyone could say/do/notice to stop suicide happening. :(
