So, turns out the Royal wedding has really brought out the casual racism at work :umm2:. Started at 12 today, by 1pm I'd heard the word "halfcast" 7 times.

I drew the line at the comment that "The real problems will start in 9 months when she starts popping out wee monkies".

The one with the monkies comment was asked to leave. He has "previous", but mainly for sectarian comments... At least he doesn't discriminate in his bigotry, I guess!

Back on the wedding though; who was the woman that was speaking before the American bishop... And why did it sound like she was giving a eulogy at a funeral rather than speaking at a wedding? :joker: she sounded bloody miserable.

Jesus christ..

I have noticed a fair bit of racism from those I considered to be not even slightly racist. It sure has brought out the ugly side in a lot of people, though thankfully I have not heard anything like that^

:joker: we have two "general telly" screens, supposed to be for sport BUT to be fair... The studio was broadcasting wedding audio intermittently.

I mean... We were taking bets on the colour of the queen's hat, so I guess its a sporting event?

These mouthy ignorant yobs are THE reason why I prefer betting via my Internet Betting Account than being in a bookies and why I prefer watching films from the comfort of my armchair than having to endure loud talking, seat kicking and generally boorish behaviour in a cinema.
