First up is Annie and Giovanni Tango to Jaws theme song
Which judges will be snapping at how great this was and which will just want them to just FIN(...means END) Ammi: Dark and erotic, your Tango was definitely not watery. It was sultry and slow and had us gripped in its captivating jaws. Denver: I loved it a lot Amy Jade: This movie score is iconic and I love it but I just can't see it with a tango at all, it's too slow to build and I just felt a bit deflated by this performance. I do like that you tried something totally different though! Mitchell: A different choice that really paid off for you. Ammi:7 Denver:8 Amy Jade:6 Mitchell:6 Kate:7 Liam:7 |
Next up is Barry and Oti with a Paso Doble to Burnin in the third degree from The Terminator
Will Barry and Oti be saying I'll be back...next week or will it be hasta la vista baby Ammi: There was nothing robotic about this Paso Doble. It was fast, it was furious, it was emotionally charged, it was burning and it was back, baby Denver: It was very enjoyable but didn't have as much passion as I wanted Amy Jade: Firstly I don't class Terminator as a horror, more a thriller but I guess that's subjective. I think the fit worked with a Paso and the song is very 80's slasher with the heavy guitars but I just wanted more this week. Next is Lewis and Janette with a Contemporary to Mad World from Donny Darko
Will this performance send our judges mad with delight or mad with anger... Ammi: Great choice, I LOVED your dance and such a great song choice - if this is a mad world then let us continue forever in the madness of your dance Denver: This is a very overused song and I've seen nothing different to the 1 million other times it was used Amy Jade: Again I don't view this as horror, even more so than Terminator. It's Sci-fi/Fantasy and although I could see a cute contemporary dance to this I am going to dock major points for not bringing us horror this week, sorry. Who has foreseen a car crash of a routine or will this be a highway to heaven Ammi: Who needs steps to heaven when you’ve created such a glorious highway to hell - devilishly delicious and dedicatedly wicked - we loved it. Denver: You need to learn the concept of Originality darling Amy Jade: This was an absolutely stunning performance, I can tell you grafted this week and really thought about where you were going and you executed it to perfection. Next is Jake and Dianne with an American Smooth to Perfect Day from You're Next
Will this be perfect sailing for Jake and Dianne or will they be the next victims to leave the dancefloor Ammi: A perfect day for a perfect dance - you kept us hanging on your every fluid movement. A perfect blend of shocking and rocking. Denver: It was a beautiful, Elegant but very forgetful performance Amy Jade: I wasn't sure about this one on first inspection but you proved me wrong, this week I wanted horror and you gave it to me but you also gave me that little extra and for that you deserve this score... Next is Cherie and Alijaz with a Street Dance to The Exorcist theme
Has Cherie been doing the right kind of exercise this week?? Ammi: I feel totally exorcised in watching your dance - exorcised, exhilarated, ecstatic, excited - extraordinary street dance, I loved it. Denver: It doesn't really work as a street dance tbh Amy Jade: I liked this, could definitely see it working and being very impactful. Well done. Closing the show is Parmnion and Karen with an Argentine Tango to Dance of the dead from Dracula
Will this be the dance of the dead or will Parm just be dancing like a dead person... Ammi: You didn’t suck the life blood out of that Argentine Tango, you injected it into it. We felt the thirst of the undead and became totally captivated victims. Frightful, fangtastic and fabulous Denver: It was a fun crowd pleasing dance Amy Jade: This was fun and it definitely worked but I have to say this was kind of handed to you so I can't really give you top marks despite it ticking the right boxes.
