The King isn’t ‘giving’ it to Andrew as a gift or a kindness. Far from it.
He is trying to force him into it because he is cutting back his allowance and Andrew will no longer be able to afford the upkeep of his massive present home, which I assume will then go on sale. Reports are that Andrew is fighting back on having to relocate to Frogmore Cottage.

It’s not rocket science

He is the king’s brother
He is in a bigger property a stone’s throw away from frogmore
The bigger property will probably be given to William and Kate

It’s only the papers trying to make big deal out of the situation

Wasn't it still going to be used by Harry & Meghan as like a vacation home for when they visit?. But now they can't stay there anymore.

Oliver_W 01-03-2023 10:13 PM

For some reason I had it in my head there was an "unwritten rule" or maybe an actual one that any of the Royal Family could visit any of the Royal Residencies for as long as they wanted?

I’m sure some of their celebrity friends will offer them some sort of accommodation when necessary….
Meghan wont set a foot in this country unless she has to..thank god :hee:

Well we did drive them out so why would they even want to return?

Glenn. 01-03-2023 10:56 PM

Also I wonder if they’ll be reimbursed the £2.4m they paid to renovate it? The money that the public demand they repaid when they withdrew from duties.

They only paid up because they used tax payers money refurbishing a home they never intended to live in permanently….:hee:

I don’t think the bed room count is accurate
Frogmore has five bedrooms andrews place has 30 rooms not all bedrooms

thesheriff443 02-03-2023 01:23 AM

They knew all along they would not be able to keep frogmore as a home if they were no longer working royals , hence they tried the half in half out option which was rightfully rejected.
And I believe their belongings were already in storage as I said in a previous thread.

it's hardly a cruel eviction when they are never there and have their own multi million mansion. A cruel eviction is when some poor sod gets evicted and they end up homeless

Harry and Meghan have been asked to 'vacate' Frogmore Cottage

Harry and Meghan's spokesperson said a "request" had been made for them to give up Frogmore Cottage, near Windsor Castle.

The spokesperson said: "We can confirm the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been requested to vacate their residence at Frogmore Cottage."

Reports have claimed the move, which removes their final remaining foothold in the UK, was sanctioned by the King.

It’s all pantomime

jet 02-03-2023 08:55 AM

Daily Mail
“Speaking of: have you heard about Harry's latest money-grubbing scheme? It's a live online chat about all his traumas. Can't imagine he's got anything new to say — how to top tales of a frostbitten penis and sex next to a box of his dead mother's hair? — but for the low, low price of $33.99, you can log on to a livestream chat and ask your own questions of Harry this Saturday at noon eastern.
Of course, there's a caveat — what, did you expect something straightforward here? Comments will be disabled and there will be no live questions taken. Our prince will be fielding only pre-submitted and pre-approved queries.”

The Victimisation Tour continues….

Glenn. 02-03-2023 09:13 AM

Literally already a thread. Don’t need yet another one

If you rent perfectly habitable house, but choose to redecorate to your own taste, the landlord does not have to pay for this when you move out, it was their choice to refurbish
