There’s a recent deal to raise cash just completed a few days ago - sold % of shares in one of their business interests

:)

they are barely in a position to cover wage costs, so taking on new players is going to hurt them

Hence the deal I just mentioned

Apparently Neymar was a done deal until Xavi closed it down .. he felt that Neymar would unsettle the changing room

Just been listening to City’s ex finance executive on TalkSport..
He says that Chelsea are deliberately failing the FFP guidelines… a calculated risk

Near guaranteed success and massive financial benefits against the risk of a nominal fine in the future ..

i think it's more wide ranging than that. It's only a matter of time until there is a tie up between Saudi and uefa/premier league. There is too much money on offer for these organisations to refuse. Once that happens ffp means nothing anyway

so are you suggesting that when a corner comes in, a goalkeeper can't go for the ball when he is blocked by a player? I don't think so

Pep Guardiola on Kevin De Bruyne

"It's a serious injury. We have to decide on surgery but he will be out for some time “

Paqueta incoming I think

Hopefully not correct

:

Chelsea have had offer accepted for less than 40m euros according to reliable french media.

Michael Olise to return to his boyhood club.

Personal terms had already been agreed

nah not Paqueta i think, more someone else on a loan deal would be more wise

4 months is not long, and when he's back, that replacement of his is on the bench, Paqueta wouldn't want that i reckon

--
same with Real Madrid now loaning Kepa as a replacement for Courtois and on a season loan deal, you can maybe also still use Kepa for the cup once Thibaut is back + Kepa will gain a lot of extra experience like this, upon returning to Chelsea next season

Paqueta will move to city, no way he will turn down that opportunity

Agreed

At least he will add a little inventiveness to their ‘paint by number’ style of play

It may help Barca get Silva out of there :)

Tbf though there was no guarantee that Wolves would've scored the penalty if it was given anyway.

It looks like Wolves need to get a striker before the Window closes, but it doesn't take a genius to figure that out tbf.
