The themes did squash the potential of certain dances tonight didn't it?

Yes. At least Nigel has ballroom next week. He will do well. No heavy boots or costume.

That's interesting to see if he is still in the contest next week.

Big zzzzzzzz to the show so far.

what a great show

great magical tribute to 100 years of Disney

Nigel & Katya: don't disagree with low scoring, technique was a bit meh, was a entertaining performance, great homage to the original batman too 6

Angela & Kai: the right amount of quickstep content for a woman of her age, well done Kai for this clever choreography, a lot of moments in hold looked phenomenal, the quicker bits a bit messy although kinda fun to watch still, all in all great performance 7

Zara & Graziano: LMAO Craig and yes correct Shirley, Paso Doble is literally marching, walking dance, i thought compared to week 1 in her cha cha where she posed too much, she was much better in character now, great attitude too, great efforts at the shaping and trying to be in sync with Graz, good performance 7

Layton & Nikita: agree with Craig, danced way too aggressive, also looked kinda heavy, no for me 4

Angela & Carlos: omg yass, slay wow this was divine, amazing swivels, amazing characters on point all the way through, amazing for a non-actress, wow 9

Amanda & Giovanni: blonde suits her much better, also those backbends whew :dazzler: yum, and thank you Gio, this is a rumba exactly my cup of tea, classy, emotional, nothing too raunchy, filthy 8

Nikita & Gorka: flatfooted, lame kicks and flicks, couldn't see the difference either in both, i feel sad Les left last week now, this was silly 1

Ellie & Vito: magical, technically stunning and performance wise also very good 9

Bobby & Dianne: those hips are on fire, same levels as Kelvin's Samba, wow HOT HOT HOT 10

Jody & Jowita: i was in tears of this beautiful little performance :bawling: beautiful storytelling from a non-actor, stunning choreo as always from sweet Jowita  7

Eddie & Karen: agree with Shirley's 10, that streetdance technique was simply sensational and the performance was very good either 10

Annabel & Johannes: whew, me always likey likey a simple waltz done right, and this was done amazingly well, those heel turns, that frame, that look, gorgeous 8

Adam & Luba: same as with Nigel, technique was a little off, however made up for a enjoyable entertaining performance, tbh Adam more looked like a version of Mario portrayed by Pedro Pascal or something  it was good 7

Krishnan & Lauren: the surprise of the series remains surprising in a positive way, great performance 8

:clap1: :clap1: :clap1: another show, i have enjoyed every second of it

They were Nicky. :idc:

Nicky91 08-10-2023 08:50 AM

you can't expect Angela Rippon to be 90 seconds in a really fast paced routine though, at her age of 79

Kai is literally a perfect partner for her, playing into her strengths and this week i thought her acting was quite nice too, she did this character justice and we thought that hair colour, style suited her so well either

my mom enjoyed last night too

her fave performances were from

1. Eddie & Karen: best of the night she thought
2. Angela & Kai: beautiful was what she said
3. Angela & Carlos: she didn't know this film, but charleston is one of her fave dances
4. Annabel & Jojo: she has a weak for that song, one of her all time fave songs
5. Ellie & Vito: she didn't know Encanto, but she thought this looked quite good
6. Jody & Jowita: such a cute performance and lovely music
7. Krishnan & Lauren: she likes Cabaret a lot
8. Amanda & Giovanni: it looked very stunning and she thought she looked good with blonde compared with dark hair

whom she thought was the weakest

Nikita & Gorka: this looks bad from the first second

Liam- 08-10-2023 10:35 AM

Bobby has got this in the bag I think

Nicky91 08-10-2023 04:04 PM

When Bobby started his dance….all I saw was Jade :bawling:

Livia 08-10-2023 05:52 PM

Nikita out tonight, please. I've seen more graceful carthorses.

Uncanny, wasn't it. He looks SO much like his mum, I'm surprised there's room for him also to look like his Dad. Seems like a nice kid, too.

in that dance off i would've also saved Zara, not a difficult decision

Zara improved a lot compared to saturday night, where Nikita made even more mistakes

Jody safe another week :cheer2: :cheer2: in the words of Gio: thank you, thank you, thank you

Ellie & Vito getting to do the Samba to that Manilow classic, amazing will deffo enjoy that one

Nicky91 09-10-2023 01:09 PM

back to a normal week now

am excited to see if our top 13 can carry these newly learned performing skills over to this week, and hopefully also them all upping their game again technique wise

Adam has the dance he wanted to learn the most, the Waltz
