It's a very complicated one because of various laws and quirks here though. This is someone who was born with ambiguous genitalia and incorrectly assigned female at birth (we don't like that, right?) in a country where being trans is not legal. They then went on to go through male puberty, and it has transpired that they are hormonally and biologically male. But their country doesn't allow that so their legal documentation will always state that they were born female.

There's an element of "having your cake and eating it too" here I suspect. You're arguing that this individual who was born with ambiguous genitalia but later clearly started to present physically as male and this has been confirmed chromosomally, is still female because that's what they were assigned in the hospital at birth, and this can't legally be changed. At the same time, it's argued that gender has nothing to do with sex assigned at birth. You have to pick? Which is it?
