[6.03pm: The car accelerates rapidly into the crowd, with fans bouncing off its bonnet as it swerves at speed. One is carried on the bonnet a number of yards and more than a dozen are initially trapped underneath. One witness says a baby is injured]

Yes Cherie,
that is terrible

Beso 29-05-2025 05:03 PM

So it didn't sneak in behind an ambulance....not with all that commotion before hand. Yet he still managed to get through the roadblock. With all that commotion before hand.

Torture him some have said..feed him to the baying crowd. Etc etc.

[Mr Doyle also faces two charges of attempted

incident ranged from nine to 78.

Assistant Chief Constable Sims,

The charges he faces relate to six victims, and two of the charges – wounding with intent and attempted grievous bodily harm – relate to a child.

…just a really, really sad story/incident and now it’s for piecing it all together as to how this could have ever happened…maybe life changing with some of the physical injuries and also life changing on many levels and in many ways for many people ….

There are alot of unanswered questions here, was the road he was initially driving down open or closed, why was he allowed to follow the ambulance, there appear to be numerous police around who bundled him from his car to safety but none of them appear to have intervened before that, it all happened very quickly but a car on a closed road should have sent red flags surely

Great to see they have lots of bang up-to-date pics of the man....

I don't really understand why everyone is saying he doesn't look like a bloke in his 50's. He does. 53 ain't elderly you'll be happy to hear LT. Things go south at about 60 though :worry:.

Cherie 30-05-2025 10:27 AM

Why would anyone send in the pic of him in the Christmas hat, so bizarre

Beso 30-05-2025 10:33 AM

I can't see him getting a fair trial..the cops already tarrred him as a junkie..they mustn't have had any evidence for that, they just.....well, they must have just said it!!!

Expect LT is comparing it to the Southport attack when the pictures released were all of him as a schoolboy

It sounds to me like the road wasn't closed and that was when the attacks on the car started. He then followed an ambulance through a roadblock into the closed section of the road

I might be wrong though

that was only when we had the blurry side pic of him in the car

no one is saying that now

not sure why we had

he was drunk

or

he was high on drugs tho?

That is 100%,
because the very brief Police
kept going live on TV and Radio News

Never taking questions

They are my thoughts as well, and I wonder if he followed the ambulance for safety because at this point his rear window was smashed in

Smacks of police failures, I hope he has a good lawyer because I think all of this was caused by panic on both sides

Zizu 30-05-2025 11:07 AM

There was a feeling that he was terrified by some fans who started trying to wreck his car as he drove slowly past and it spooked him into driving recklessly into the crowd BUT the prosecution look to be class it was done with intent ..

He’s an ex marine …

I am not supporting his actions in anyway, but have thought that the guy may have been scared shitless by fans kicking the car and trying to smash the windows, sheer panic may have made him think erratically, those fans probably would have badly injured him or worse.I do recall a story about two soldiers that were pulled out their car and killed by a baying mob.Its just a thought, its very sad what happened and I'm not condoning it,he maybe should have just left his car,IF of course it wasn't done on purpose,if it was he deserves the full force of the law .

The police failed to mention that he was actually dragged from the car and given a few punches b4 the police intervened...you see this in the clip that shows the police standing aimlessly by as the car is set upon once it stops.

Cherie 30-05-2025 12:45 PM

He has appeared in court now, no plea will be entered until August
