There's quite a visual disparity between male and female Au Ras. Males look more beastly while the females look more like Mi'Qotes with horns. I'll probably change into an Au Ra for a while when Heavensward is released. I just hope they have decent customisation options.

So, I've made some massive progress!

Managed to beat Ramuh EX and Shiva EX today, literally beat the latter in two tries.

I've not even beat Garuda Ex yet, lol, got her to 1% and was the last one standing, one more cast and she'd have been toast.

Garuda's pretty simple, it's tank intensive though so if you've got two bad tanks then you have no chance. The only two EX Primals I haven't done are Titan and Ifrit but I'm honestly not too bothered about them, the gear is outdated and I don't care about achievements.
You can fight Levi and Mog EX without having to fight the first three and beating those two will unlock the rest EX Battles. Levi is pretty simple, Mog is a pain and Ramuh is a scrotum rash but Shiva EX is really easy. It's a good place to get 115 weapons and gear. |
Yeah, I hear Titan and Ramuh are the worst, Ifrit's apparently easy though. I kinda want to get past Turn 5 at some point, but I just find the moving around in time hard lol.

It has been announced that patch 2.5 for FFXIV has a concrete release date of January 20th. This date places it weeks before most estimates, and means that the game’s first expansion, Heavensward, could be arriving sooner than previously thought. Patch 2.5 will bring with it a plethora of goodies. It’ll include the following according to slides from a recent Letter From the Producer Live: First Arc of the Patch 2.5 Main Scenario Hildibrand New Dungeons The Keeper of the Lake The Wanderer’s Palace (Hard) Amdapor Keep (Hard) The World of Darkness Urth’s Fount Revenge of Gilgamesh A New Mystery Trial New Rules for Frontline Aetherial Wheel New Crafting Recipes The highlights to many are the addition of the Crystal Tower’s final section that includes great looking new weapons and armor, as well as new endgame quests. Shortly after the arrival of patch 2.5 on January 20th patch 2.51 will be released. It will include: Manderville Gold Saucer New Chapter of the Zodiac Weapon Saga Second Arc of the Patch 2.5 Main Scenario Battle of Ishgard It is expected to debut in the middle of February. |

I got Miner to level 50 a few days ago. High level mining is so stressful. You have to run all over the place to farm nodes before they disappear.
