hi.

If we got Villa no team would ever keep a clean sheet against us.

Keep posting the breaking news

I'll be back at 10

Villa+Torres= Liverpool winning Premiership & Champions League.

Liverpool still need a good defener, another Sami.

LOL

You'll be winning games 5-4 and 6-5.

GiRTh 03-06-2009 05:04 PM

Liverpool need more than another striker. You're full backs and wide men need looking at. The centre of the team is fine but on the flanks there's not enough penetration.

andyman 03-06-2009 05:06 PM

Liverpool will sign Ronaldo to boost the flanks... Maybe.

Sky sports news.. Steve Bruce live!

GiRTh 03-06-2009 05:07 PM

Glen Johnson or David Bentley would be better signings for Liverpool than Villa.

andyman 03-06-2009 05:09 PM

This must be a great day for Lauren..

GiRTh 03-06-2009 05:09 PM

Correct if I'm wrong, but weren't Liverpool top scorers in the league last year so you've got no problems scoring goals. You just need to put away the weaker teams in the same way Man Utd do.

Why not? You could do with a good right fullback and right winger.

andyman 03-06-2009 05:14 PM

Girth that is true, Liverpool beat the top teams but slip up with the mid-table bunch.. Too many draws always cost us.
Liverpool, Man Utd and Chelsea will be fighting hard for the Premiership, i feel that Arsenal will be out of the battle again.. 4th.

Locke. 03-06-2009 05:15 PM

Not sure if we were top scorers, I know we had the best goal difference though. I think we should just sign Owen for a few million and he'll be a good back up for Torres, and we'll have N'gog in reserve in case Owen is out too. I think Aurelio is good for us at left back, and we have Insua too, Dossena will probably leave... Arbeloa is usually good at left back but played crap in the second half of the season, so I think we'll definitely get someone else in to take his place. And then a left mid is needed, we're ok for right mid with Kuyt and Benayoun.

andyman 03-06-2009 05:16 PM

Ok Bentley maybe.. Much better players that Liverpool can buy.

GiRTh 03-06-2009 05:18 PM

You were top scorers. You scored 77 goals where as Man Utd scored 68.

Final League Table

Locke. 03-06-2009 05:18 PM

Wigan have made an approach for Roberto Martinez, but Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins says they are "miles apart" in terms of valuation of the Swans boss.

Chelsea centre-back Ricardo Carvalho has made it clear he is ready to leave Stamford Bridge this summer in search of first-team football.

The Portugal international, 31, is unhappy that he made only 18 appearances for the Blues last season.

andyman 03-06-2009 05:20 PM

Owen aint been the same since 2003! Would be a huge mistake if Liverpool signed him, then again maybe on a 1 year contract would be ok.

True but Bentley needs a good home. Apparently Harry Redknap would rather play a half fit Lennon than fully fit Bentely. I cant see Bentley staying at Spurs next season and as an ex-Arsenal player I still like him.

He'd be a great signing for anybody. I think there might be a bidding war for him.

Owen is definitely not the player we thought he'd be after scoring that great goal in the world cup in 98. I'm not sure about him. He's a proven goal scorer and Liverpool definitely need backup for Torres but, like you, I'm not sure Owen is the answer. I can Owen at somewhere like Spurs or Everton or even Villa.

andyman 03-06-2009 05:25 PM

Bentley+Villa..

How much would that cost?

Villa at about 40 mil, Bentley at surely no more than 5 ml.

Locke. 03-06-2009 05:35 PM

When the ball hits your head and you sit in row Z, that's Zamora!"

Locke. 03-06-2009 05:36 PM

I don't want Bentley, he hasn't been the same since he signed for Spurs. His goal against Arsenal in the 4-4 draw was quality though.
