sorry but they are not zombies IMO, they are people that are infected with the rage virus causes mindless uncontrollable rage and aggression, these people are very much alive & they are only the host for the virus

Denial 10/10

Based on a the libel trial brought by David Irvine, (A holocaust denier), against
Acclaimed writer and historian Deborah E. Lipstadt, who also happens to be Jewish

Part of it was actually filmed a Auschwitz which had the most moving parts. What the film did highlight was how we really need to revisit our UK libel laws which have silenced those who would criticise pseudo science and quack cures[/Soapbox]

The BFG and Nine lives
BFG 8/10 Enjoyed it stayed close to the book which is always good and wasn't too long either
Nine Lives 9/10 Wasn't expecting much but watched it because it was about cats but enjoyed it more really funny and had some good actors in it too

Romeo and Juliet (1996) 8/10

I remember watching this in GCSE english! it was really good and still is. I might watch the recent one and the first one to see which one I prefer.

Nothing like the book then.

Spy (2015)
9/10 > do love Melissa McCarthy & all her films she stars in, she just has the power to make me laugh

Drillbit Taylor (2008)
8/10 > quite funny in the first half then it trails of a (drill :hehe:) bit in the second half

Mystic Mock 12-02-2017 11:11 PM

Afro Samurai: Resurrection.

It's not as good as the Anime imo which does a fantastic build up along with the great action scenes. But for what this Film is it's good fun and Lucy Liu does a good betrayal as Sio, and it does raise some good points about Afro's actions.

I would personally score this Film an 8.5/10 as it has it's moments, but just not at the heights of the Anime TV Series imo.

I haven't read the book tbh but I read in reviews of it that it's only loosely based on it

That's debatable, Zombies have evolved in more modern movies, i would consider them a new version of traditional Zombie

Fight Club (1999) - 8.5/10

Love this film.

Shaun 14-02-2017 05:20 PM

The Founder

As decent as Michael Keaton was, the film just flipped from loveable underdog trying to make a coin for himself, to all-out evil prick with little personal narrative. Just didn't fit right as a film, and the surrounding cast were largely pointless and undeveloped too. I'd give it a 5/10 because it was OK but...yeah I'll forget that quick.

Bridesmaids (2011)
10/10 > Annie AKA Kristin Wiig made me laugh in this & I love the ending as well

Club Dread (2004)
9/10 > quite funny in the first half, then when the slasher element picks up the humor goes out the window, do love the atmosphere of stormy weather & a killer on the loose

Buffy The Vampire Slayer (1992)
8/10 > a guilty pleasure of mine but it's quite tame compared to the TV series which I love

Shaun 15-02-2017 02:23 AM

Moana

I was fully on-board until that bloody terrible Crab song. Awful awful awful moment in an otherwise charming and lovely Disney movie. I'd give it an 8/10 though. Not as strong as Big Hero 6/Wreck-It Ralph but better than The Princess & The Frog and Winnie the Pooh.

I'd put it on the same level as Frozen or Brave. Really good, a really strong lead song that's stuck in my head, but not quite tugging at my heartstrings.

Ghost - Rewatched it with my daughter, still as good as I remembered it 8/10

The Edge of Seventeen (2016) - 9/10

Watched this last night and I really enjoyed it. It's one of those funny, feel-good teen movies. Smart plot with great characters and acting. Definitely one of my favourite films of last year.

Oh no, I was born in 1990 so I was pretty much a kid but they all came out when I was younger so they remind me of my childhood.

I liked the crab's song :joker:. But you can't beat The Rock's "You're Welcome". I'm going to sing it to my wife during sexytimes.

Whiplash (2014) - 10/10

Wow. What an incredibly enthralling and inspirational film this was. I can see why JK Simmons won an Oscar for his part in it, he was such a ****ing bastard and played it perfectly! The character of Andrew was fleshed out well enough and was very likeable too. The ending was fitting and i'm glad it didn't end how most would expect it to, with Andrew getting the girl, so it was pretty realistic in that sense. Even if you're not a big music fan i'd still recommend you give this a watch.

Hurricane Bianca starring Bianca Del Rio ( a film about a guy who gets fired from hos teaching job, so comes back with a vegence as their drag queen self) its as bad as it sounds and i loved it.
