There’s a press event this week so they’ll probably officially announce it then and reveal Alfie is back as well

Officially confirmed Kat is returning with Jean and Big Mo!

Big Mo (Laila Morse) and Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) are set to return to EastEnders alongside Kat Moon, played by Jessie Wallace .

Sadly, they won't be joined by Alfie or Kat's children as they make their return to the Square. The last viewers saw of Kat was her floating in the Irish sea after attempting to make a new life with Alfie - how has it all gone wrong?

The trio will instantly set on sorting out Stacey, who isn't in the best way when they arrive in the spring.

EastEnders boss John Yorke spoke about his excitement regarding their return.

He said: "The Slaters are one of the all-time great families in EastEnders and Albert Square has never felt quite the same since they scattered to different ends of the country, and in some cases beyond.

"It has been a real joy to find a way to bring them back together and we’re incredibly excited about where we are taking them next. It won’t just be familiar Slaters either as there are a couple of twists and characters to add fresh spice to an iconic creation."

Meanwhile Jessie gushed about being "thrilled" about her comeback.

She said: "I love Kat and Walford dearly and I cannot wait to get started - watch out Walford Kat’s coming home."

No Alfie, the kids or Ollie presumably. Love Jean but not sure I want to see her go through anymore turmoil because she reminds me of my nan. </3

I can't see Jessie signing up without Shane Richie. I reckon he'll show up with the kids a few months down the line after she left him behind in wherever they are atm.
