Now when they say big they are talking between £15 million and £20 million and while the name of the player was not mentioned on Spanish radio it is believed to be a Valencia playe

No Arsenal offer for Chamakh says Bordeaux president
June - 25 - 2009

Marouane Chamakh is another top midfielder that has been linked strongly with Arsenal, but the Bordeaux president has denied on Sky Sports that his club has received any offers for him from the Premier League, and he is hopeful that the 25 year-old will sign an extended contract to stay at Bordeaux.

The report reads: Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud is hopeful reported Arsenal target Marouane Chamakh will sign a new contract with the Ligue 1 club.

The Gunners have been linked with a bid for the highly-rated forward, but the North London side have yet to comment on the speculation.

Last week, French outfit Bordeaux denied claims an agreement for Chamakh had been struck with Arsenal.

Triaud has claimed an approach from a Swiss side has been received, but Bordeaux remain focused on tying the Moroccan down to fresh terms.

He told skysports.com: “I have not spoken with any player about a move. Players need to respect their contracts.

“We want Marouane to sign a new contract with us, he knows that. We want to build a great team here, not sell our best players.

“Chamakh has not received any offer or enquiry by a big or small Premier League club. The only enquiry has come from a Swiss club.”

Is this another one that can struck off the “possible” list for Arsenal fans?

Premier League muscle bids big for Arsenal target

According to Calciomercato.com an un-named Premier League giant has made an offer for Udinese stopper Cristian Zapata. The Colombian has been watched by Arsenal and Manchester City and is set for the exit door this summer.

Zapata has been identified by Arsene Wenger as a possible stalwart to plug Arsenal's leaky defence. The 22 year-old admitted earlier this month that a number of top European clubs were interested in his services.

"Juventus, Milan, Arsenal and Villarreal have requested information about me," said Zapata.

"There are many teams that are keen to sign me but an official offer has not been made so far. I think if a good offer arrives then Udinese will have to consider it."

And theres all the Arsenal Transfer Rumours of today.

Glen Johnson is officially a Liverpool Player!

England defender Glen Johnson has today put pen to paper on a four-year Anfield deal.
The 24-year-old full-back arrives from Portsmouth and becomes Rafa Benitez's first major acquisition of the summer ahead of the 2009-10 season.

His squad number has yet to be decided.

Johnson's career began with Harry Redknapp at West Ham but after just 15 appearances and a loan spell at Millwall he became the first signing for new Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich in 2003.

The Londoner's league debut for the Blues came at Anfield against Liverpool in August of the same year.

Three months later he made his international debut against Denmark as a substitute for Gary Neville.

Johnson won a Premier League title winner's medal and a League Cup during his time at Stamford Bridge but he was loaned to Portsmouth by Jose Mourinho in 2006.

The deal was made permanent a year later and the England man went on to be a massive hit with the Fratton Park faithful.

He helped the club to FA Cup glory in 2008 - and the season that followed brought a host of personal accolades.

Glen JohnsonDespite Pompey finishing 14th in the league, Johnson was selected at right-back in the PFA Team of the Year for 2008-09. His screaming left-foot volley against Hull on November 22 also won Match of the Day's Goal of the Season.

The defender has amassed 15 caps for England and was named as Nationwide's man-of-the-match in the Three Lions' recent World Cup qualifying victory over Andorra at Wembley after claiming three assists in the game.

Away from the pitch, our new boy established the Glen Johnson Soccer School' in Dartford, Kent back in 2007 for children aged between four and 16.

Manchester City, who were leading the race to sign Carlos Tevez from United, are now reportedly clear favourites to land the Argentine after the striker enrolled his daughter in a local school.

Stoke City are said to be chasing Obafemi Martins, who's one big name likely to leave relegated Newcastle United.

Fulham could soon swoop for Steve Sidwell. The midfielder last owened the stage whilst playing for Reading, but has failed to kick on at Chelsea and now Aston Villa.

Lyon's Kader Keita looks to be on the way out of France; West Ham United, Everton and Roma could be interested.

Peter Lovenkrands amazingly wants to cross the great divide; he's eyeing a contract with Sunderland after leaving their relegated rivals Newcastle United.

Nani could be used as bair to help Manchester United land long-term target Antonio Valencia from Wigan Athletic. He hasn't really hit the heights, Nani, since showing early promise.

Johnson's deal at Anfield is worth some £18.5 million, while he's penned a four-year contract. Can he help 'Pool mount a stronger title assault?

YES!

he is considering Arsenal again.

Arsenal target Felipe Melo to consider future after Confederations Cup final

Arsenal target Felipe Melo's agent has sidestepped questions about the Brazil midfielder's future.

Emiliano Froldi insists his player is happy at Fiorentina but stopped short of ruling a move to the Barclays Premier League.

The 25-year-old is wanted by Arsenal and Inter Milan, with Arsene Wenger's team thought to be happy to pay £15million for the former Almeria player.

But Froldi said Melo was concentrating only on his international duty with Brazil ahead of Sunday's Confederations Cup final against the United States in Johannesburg.

'Felipe is happy at Fiorentina,' Froldi told www.calciomercato.it. 'His family has adapted very well in Florence and right now his only focus in on the Confederations Cup.'

Melo made 29 Serie A starts for Fiorentina last season and is under contract with the Viola through June 2012.

Arsenal to land £10million Serie A defender?
12:00 PM 26 June, 2009
Arsenal Football Club being linked with a move for Cristian Zapata.

The Colombian international centre-half is currently plying his trade in Italy’s Serie A with Udinese, who are said to be willing to offload him for £10million.

It has been reported that Arsene Wenger is keen on the 22-year-old Zapata, who stands at 6ft 2in, to add some much-needed height in his Gunners back four.

The French coach is said to be on the lookout for a commanding centre-half, who could partner £10million Thomas Vermaelen in a new look combo if Kolo Toure is sold.

Agent: Dentinho Wants Arsenal Or Manchester United Move
The burgeoning Corinthians striker would welcome a move to the Premier League...

Corinthians striker Dentinho, a prolific forward of diminutive stature, would relish a move to the Premier League and, in particular, would welcome a move to either Manchester United or Arsenal, according to the player's agent, Ferhat Ciftci.

Dentinho was the club's highest scorer in his second year in the first-team, and has partnered former Real Madrid and Brazil international Ronaldo to good effect thus far in 2009.

The Sao Paulo-based club have placed a weighty valuation on Dentinho, according to Ciftci, so any would-be bidders would need to be able to finance such a deal.

"They [Corinthians] want too much money for Dentinho, so the club who are willing to pay that kind of money will land the player," Ciftci explained to Sport.

"He is a great talent. Another great Brazilian talent. A very good technical player who is good on the ball. The fans will love him in England, the public will worship him. A little bit like Cristiano Ronaldo.

"He wants to play in the Premier League," he added. "It doesn't make a difference if it is Arsenal or Manchester United."

Alan Dawson, Goal.com

Ronaldo's signed a 6 year contract then.
