Never try to sympathise with these 'animals' this was a grown man who DIDNT love his victim just the age she was. Callous pedophiles like this carefully choose and rehearse there vile plan to trap vunerable children at a young age, THATS what (if anything) Tony loved. His buzz-word recently was his "special" little girl, for special read young child... His victim was no longer a young child, no longer 'special' and a new young girl (Lauren) was now fast becoming very special, she was what the pedophiles REALLY love... she was a child. Thats the differnce between a Pedophile and the 19 year old boyfriend of Laura? Beale, which may have been love (we'll never know) What I find incredible is, during that story line Ian through the guy out with no mention of having him arrested for his crime (if only grooming a potential rape victim she was a child too)... yet we are about to see Ian in this story line go after a charector for hiring a pedophile at the youth centre. I agree with your thoughts Magic, there are some double standards, but, it seems, only when we ignore some abusers rather than focus on protecting what are in law still children. Oh, and it was a classic Eastenders storyline, thats for sure. |

HUGE spoiler below, read at your own peril.
[spoil]THIS is the moment crazed EastEnder Sean Slater vows to punish wife Roxy — by kidnapping the tot he was conned into believing was his daughter. The layabout (played by Rob Kazinsky) is furious to learn Amy’s real father is Jack Branning (Scott Maslen). The bombshell explodes during Christmas dinner at the Queen Vic. Sean snaps after the news of the paternity test is revealed in a home-made CRACKER — and confronts Roxy (Rita Simons). He plans to get back at her and the tot’s twisted grandfather Archie Mitchell (Larry Lamb) by snatching Amy and fleeing to a deserted flat. Devastated Roxy blames herself and tries to get her baby back before Sean does something terrible. But it is Sean’s sister Stacey (Lacey Turner) who steps into the breach. An EastEnders insider said: “Stacey is the only one who’s ever been able to handle Sean. "He’s a loose cannon and he’s utterly humiliated. “While everyone else panics, Stacey works out what’s happened and it’s not long before she’s on his tail.” But Sean is still at large and over New Year he hatches his most twisted plan yet . . .
