2s made a comment you took exception to, I agreed with that comment as I too feel that the conservatives of recent years relied heavily on the 'grey vote',
the point being that those voters (not that anyone wants them to) will die.
The conservatives of today cannot rely on that grey vote any longer because the direction of the party has (in my opinion) changed.
I hope that helps.

Kizzy, you don't need to explain anything to anyone.
You've made your point and its clear.
You meant no insult or malice to older people.
Most on here will know that.
It is accepted by the Con Party itself, it has difficulty with young voters.
It is trying very hard now to start to try and reach out to them.
The Party knows it is supported more by the grey vote mostly.
However they are worried at a diminishing of that vote for them, as you say..
Hence their determination to set out to win more younger voters than they have now.
I don't even like that term the grey vote.
Just keep your energy I say, to raising your strong valid points on the wrongs and failures of this PM and government.
All Parties have good and bad about them, and good and not so good policies.
You know in my case, it is the heartlessness and degrading policy of the Cons against the most vulnerable, sick and disabled, subjecting them to degrading testing.
That turned me solidly against them.
So, whatever happens with older voters supporting the Cons and whether they are successful in gaining much younger voters, only time will tell that.
You make strong valid points Kizzy and need not answer, or repeatedly need to either, when you've clearly clarified and stated your reasoning more than once.
I understood clearly your point with no difficulty whatsoever.
