Kinda felt like a filler episode to me, cant help but feel weve been led down a pointless route with the Arya storyline tbh, I was never overly keen on her book chapters either but she had already grown up enough / was able to defend herself before getting on the boat and going through the many faces crap IMO.
The Dany stuff bores me as much as it did in the books, don't get me wrong the dragons are cool etc but I'm actually at the point where I don't give a **** unless she's finally stepping foot on a boat. |
The Dany story is boring sometimes, and she's very arrogant
High Sparrow is annoying and boring, just want it over with Nice to see Sam's family, wish we had more of that Glad to see Arya's story move along and her eyebrows to get some appreciation. Is JAqen testing the waif too? |
It does seem kinda odd that he'd be so ignorant to see how much delight she gets from treating Arya like crap, maybe he'll kill her himself / catch her torturing Arya in some way and punish her  (and reaffirm my love for him tbh)
But then idk... was it ever said why he wanted that actress dead? |

Yeah, they're basically a bunch of assassins paid to kill and ask no questions, all of it under the guise of it being "the many faces gods" will
|
Hey Smithy how are you feeling about Dany now btw? She seems to be turning evil
|
No she doesn't :nono:
I think she just lives in the moment as apposed to looking at the long term, like as epic as the scene was with her killing the Khals and taking the entire Dothraki Army as her own, once they get to Westeros (and lets say for arguments sake she conquers) there's no chance they'd just settle because that's not the sort of people that they are, and it won't really do her any favours with the Westerosi because they'd just view her as someone whose brought over this foreign barbaric army who're going to rape and pillage the whole of Westeros and taken the throne for herself. She should leave the dothraki in Mereen tbh and just take the Unsullied, Second Sons and ha dragons back home |
Did you not listen to her speech though? She wants to burn the place to the ground, she's turning into her Mad daddy :nono:
|
I think she just said that because Dariio said that she was a conqueror and not a ruler though, i don't actually think she wants to kill innocent people, that defeats the point of everything she's just been doing in the East, it's the kind of talk the Dothraki understand most so I'm guessing she did it to rile them and commit themselves to her in crossing the narrow sea
|
Yeah but obviously both her Dragons and the Dothraki are going to kill indiscriminately, I think it's a sign of her turning power crazy, she was already becoming so full of herself in the books

Just because she didn't whinge about it doesn't mean she hasn't suffered loss  |
No, she's just going to go psycho and kill them all with fire :hee:
|
You'd be surprised what happens with fire by the end of the season :hehe:
|
I think I have half an idea but don't tell me, I'm trying my best to avoid spoilers

It was definitely a lot of filler this week and amongst the Sam scene, Arya's painfully dragged out story, the anticlimax in Kings Landing and the pointless Daenarys scene it wasn't a very satisfying episode at all |

Daenarys is not evil she's just a tad full of herself
Also, there's not one character bar maybe Jon who is a genuinely nice person through and through though |

The impression that I got (right from her first meeting the assassin) was more that she simply wants the training and abilities and had learned that she'd have to "play the game" convincingly in order to continue her training. She always fully intended to return home (represented by her hiding the sword), and has now realised that actually unquestioningly murdering seemngly-innocent people for no good reason, in the name of being an assassin, is a step too far. I do think it's been dragging on long enough now though... it would be pretty awesome to see her return to Westeros and effortlessly take on men three times her size. |

She'll never change who she is, she just wanted to learn everything she could to finish off her list of those she was going to kill, that's why they kept saying to her "a girl lies," "a girl will never be one of us" blah blah blah |
