One Direction's Niall Horan sets sights on 'Hollyoaks' Rachel Shenton

Quote:

Hollyoaks actress Rachel Shenton caught the attention of One Direction singer Niall Horan as she made a live TV appearance on This Morning today (February 8).

Horan publicly voiced his approval as the 25-year-old was interviewed by Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford to promote her character Mitzeee Minniver's upcoming exit storyline.

Later in the show, Holmes told viewers: "Niall from One Direction has been in touch, commenting on our last guest, saying how striking she was."

Langsford added: "And she's single Niall, I've checked for you! That's all I'm saying!"

After learning of the popstar's tweet, Shenton joined forces with This Morning's Hub presenter Matt Johnson to send a photo and message to the 19-year-old. Horan then replied with a photo of his own.

Shenton bows out from Hollyoaks next Friday (February 15) after two and a half years in the role of fan favourite Mitzeee.

Her exit storyline includes a cameo appearance from This Morning's Holmes as Mitzeee is interviewed on his Sky News breakfast show.

That lad has no chance of pulling her:joker:, he is too young and immature.

Rachel Shenton did a Question and Answer session on the Heat Twitter page.

Patrick seems the only one apart from Jack out of the adults who has a brain in this bullying storyline:).

bbfan1991 08-02-2013 05:47 PM

Now Cheryl knows that Nate is loaded:joker:.

bbfan1991 08-02-2013 05:49 PM

Frankie and Diane are not dealing with the bullying reveal in the best way, trying to cover it up will only make things worse...

It's annoying how they're letting Ruby back in the 'family'. She has the least reason to be there. A cosy breakfast the day after :bored: They could at least pack her off to Spain, even just for a break.

I know yeah, although despite what she has done they can hardly throw her out on the streets because they have to consider her welfare.

Good to see you back on this thread again:). How do you feel about Mitzeee leaving next week then?

The whole stripper SL has really tainted her character really. Really wish she wasn't preggers. The scenes with her and the sis going to see him were just cringey. Hopefully the exit might save her...

I just hope she does not die because of getting involved in Carl's revenge plot against Walker. She deserves a happy ending!

Did you hear the news about Clare Devine returning and Gillian Taylforth joining the show too? Five new hunks joining the show too, the sons of Gillian's character.

Don't really know who Claire has connections with though apart from Tom

Ste, Darren, McQueen's, Tony, Jack and Frankie. Cindy heard of Claire but they never interacted, that would be interesting and to remember their connection to Max when Clare returns.

Most of the cast from Clare's first and second stints are more or less gone, so now she has a new cast and characters to try and terrorise. I trust what BK is doing with this one.

I have a feeling one of the new lads they are casting may be a new bad boy to replace Brendan Brady too?

I guess she will be the one running the club or something. I think that is what her return was about last time. She should fit in quite good although we need a few new villains too as most are going soon.

Dr Browning and Mercedes will still be around, funnily enough her first storyline back involves them two and yeah Clare will probably be back loaded and buys the club.

I hope they change the name from Chez Chez back to The Loft when Clare is back.. I liked that name LOL!

bbfan1991 08-02-2013 10:45 PM

Oops I forgot Nancy too, she knows Clare:blush:.

InOne 08-02-2013 10:46 PM

Yeah Chez Chez is pretty rubbish really! The club is barely used anymore ever. Just seems to be Brenden hanging around drinking whisky

They will probably use it again as a big social hangout when Clare is back.

The student union bar is hardly ever seen too or uni campus.

As long as they do not put Ste and Doug back together once Brendan leaves:sleep:.

One of my big gripes recently is that they have forgotten that Cindy and Tom are siblings. I struggle to remember the last time they had a scene together?

ikr :joker::joker:

InOne 08-02-2013 11:08 PM

Not sure what Cindy is even doing there these days apart from pouting

bbfan1991 08-02-2013 11:12 PM

She is a classic character. I am sure that Bryan Kirkwood has plans for her and Tony as individuals now they are separated for good.

He needs to retain some of the more main and loyal core cast, whilst developing the new ones of course and bring back a few returnees along the way.

On Hollyoaks, Ste Hay and John Paul McQueen come to blows on a careers day at the sixth form college.

Tension between the pair flares up after Ste's estranged partner Doug Carter (PJ Brennan) seems to be growing closer to John Paul (James Sutton).

The story begins when Doug has a mini-disaster at the deli, spilling cooking oil on the floor before slipping and knocking himself out as smoke starts to billow from the oven.

Fortunately, John Paul rushes to the rescue of a grateful Doug, leaving Ste (Kieron Richardson) jealous of their new friendship.

The next day, a mischievous John Paul makes it his mission to infuriate Ste at the careers day by undermining him in front of the students.

When Ste finally loses his temper, the pair fight in the college corridors - but what will new headteacher Patrick Blake make of the situation?
