I think I quite liked it, but then again I found the boys to be a bit annoying at various stages.

I found the ending to be emotional - I actually did when I watched that part before without seeing the whole film. I know some people have said it is unrealistic.

The film is well shot also, and looks good.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them - 8/10

I prefer Harry Potter but this film is amazing! Eddie is great

Logan (2017)

Pretty good movie and a fairly proper way to end the X-Men movies saga. 8.5/10

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter

I guess it was fine. Disliked the ending somewhat unless it means there are more coming, which is not happening, since this was the last one. It this was supposed to be the last one, everyone alive from the previous movies should have been featured (Where were Chris, Jill and Leon?) and Alice should have died imo. And Wesker was too much of a p***y in this one, a huge disappointment. Might have forgotten someone, but anyway. Now that i think of it, the movie was a bit of a disappointment. 3.0/5

Hidden Figures is fantastic. A real inspiring story (+ it has Octavia Spencer, so what more could you ask for?). Watch it. :flutter:

Passengers - I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Gav told me it was crap so I was expecting it to be a lot worse  6.5/10

Magical Beats and Where to Find Them. It was okay. Felt like JK Rowling's attempt to more engage the USA with the whole Magical thing. It was engaging enough, the effects were good and although I like Eddie Redmayne, I do find the 'awkward, little boy lost' persona he adopts in almost everything, a little bit annoying.

6/10

The Assassin (1993)
8/10 > entertaining & better than I remembered

John Carter (2012)
7/10 > Overlong but moderately entertaining throughout, in a way I'm glad it flopped because we don't need anymore John Carter films it ended just fine

Niamh. 10-04-2017 09:08 AM

Life - It was pretty good 7/10

Spoiler:

I was glad they killed off Ryan Reynolds early, I find him so annoying. Every character he plays lately may as well be Deadpool. The smart arse wise cracker role is wearing thin

Robin Williams was amazing in it

Sisters - Enjoyable chick flick comedy, I really like Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. I laughed. 7/10

Lord of the rings : Fellowship of the rings. Love this movie and i never get tired of watching it. What's not to like? Great story and brilliant acting. And New Zeland is stunning. Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn :flutter:

dirty grandpa - 5.5/10

This is hands down my favourite film at the moment, best film they have done together and I literally laughed from start to finish!

I watched Nerve last night with Emma Roberts, good film, slightly far fetched but good premise and something to think about.

Split - It was pretty good, James McAvoy did a great job playing all those personalities 7/10

Manchester By The Sea, I really wanted to like it but I didn't. Found it very boring and couldn't give sympathy to the protagonist for what he did. Not a bad portrayal of depression though. 5/10

Niamh. 14-04-2017 07:52 PM

20th Century Women - It was an odd kind of a film, there wasn't really a storyline, just kind of a few months in the life of a teenage boy but it was still really enjoyable 7/10

Vanessa 15-04-2017 05:38 PM

Fast and Furious 8. I thought it was brilliant. Love Vin Diesel and he never disappoints. 10/10

The Fifth Element (1997)
10/10 > quite a lot of sexual innuendo for a PG than I remembered oh and also Leelou saying multi pass at various speeds made me LOL

Cop Out (2010)
7/10 > another Bruce Willis film (I didn't plan for a double brucie feature) he was bizarre in this because he was in a comedy and saying stuff with that creepy smile on his face

Fast and the Furious 8 - It was what it was, you need to leave reality outside the door  7/10

Niamh. 21-04-2017 10:23 AM

The Accountant - Really really good action(ish) movie, very different to the usual stuff.
It seems to have gotten pretty mixed reviews but I thought it was very clever 8.5/10

Benzient-XXVII 23-04-2017 09:50 PM

The Heartbreak Kid (2009)
10/10 > still very funny, my face is aching

ST.Vincent (2014)
8/10 > quite amusing throughout also strangely emotional

Dollface 23-04-2017 09:54 PM

Rings - Felt quite different from the first 2 Ring movies, no where near as good or eerie. Acting was quite wooden at times. I did enjoy it though.
