It defies explanation.
It's one of the sickest films ever made.
If you do watch it read a review first to see what you're in for

I've seen the first half of that, yeah it was really messed up

Water for Elephants, better than the book (which I never finished), very enjoyable film.

Hanna, it was lacking something, but i don't know what. Could have been a lot better, but it was still likable.

Swimming With Sharks last night on BBC2, great film had never seen it before. Only about 5 characters in the whole movie but Kevin Spacey and the other guy's acting is amazing.

An easy 8.5/10

The Dentist.

About dentist who drilled out all of his wife and clients teeth because his wife had an affair. He went psycho! lol

It was allright.

Shutter Island. Saw it last year but just bought the DVD.

The ending I was spoiled on but I just love the atmosphere this movie has. It's perfect late night viewing and the acting great (don't normally like DiCaprio). Very well made.

The Men Who Stare at Goats

Very funny film, although I don't think it was sure whether it wanted to be a drama, comedy, parody or political film. Pretty good cast and performances though.

Am also watching the end of An Education on BBC2...good film, just wish it had actually been advertised...

Finally watched The King's Speech

Great film, would like to watch it again soon. Can see why it did so well in the awards season.

The Island (or most of it last night)

It was alright, Scarlett Johansson was terrible though O_o

I watched this a year or two ago. This is one of those films where i say that the police sirens at the end of films pisses me off. were the sirens necessary for this film? ruined it :bored:

The power of one was amazing, heartwrenching and heartwarming. set around apartheid. I remember why we loved it so much :bawling:

The Astronauts Wife

Slow. Sh!t

Shaun 26-05-2011 11:56 PM

Withnail & I.

Had it on DVD for a few weeks before watching it...not sure why I waited, it was amazing.

I should probably watch the other DVDs I haven't yet (Pan's Labyrinth, Citizen Kane, Layer Cake)...

Beastie 26-05-2011 11:58 PM

The Notebook. Lovely film. Bit upsetting at the end.

7/10.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Veeeeeeeeeeeeery long and doesn't need to be. Great effects, I'll give it that. Amazing. Nice enough story I guess. But on the whole I didn't enjoy it. So pissed off as I've been looking forward to it

Jords 30-05-2011 12:19 AM

Home Alone :worship:

I watch half of TCCoBB and got bored, very disappointed sounded like it had a good storyline!

Only carried on watching as I'd already devoted an hour of my life to it. So pissed off now. All it was was a blokes life in reverse. Nothing great. Nice moral at the end I guess but overall - meh

Equilibrium - 7.9/10

Great action, good storyline, nice casting. But it feels like there is something missing at the end of the film, it should be a few minutes longer and we should get to see what happens after the events of the last 10-15 minutes. Christian Bale is amazing in it though, don't think anyone else would have carried the role.

Watched a couple last night that I've had for ages but never seen

Philadelphia - 6/10 - it was alright but never really had me that interested in any of the characters, they were all just stereotypes really

Shawshank Redemption - 9/10 - it was amazing :worship:

No it was the first time, but I've had it for ages

This was one of the saddest scenes I've seen in a film
