I like how the new EP is moving away from what Paul Marquess did. He made the show worse than it ever was with LA for me. But he's axing the characters I started to like. I wish he'd get rid of Liberty, Ruby, Esther and Ethan instead

That's if he's axed them. Have all the Costello actors quit or been pushed?

PM is long gone and the new producer there is a woman called Emma Smithwick, she's been a producer of some teen programmes before which looks worrying but hopefully she will use the older characters more.

The new producer seems popular with the cast and has even replied to me on Twitter. It looks like the two Costello actors have chosen to quit.

Jason and Seth? What about Heidi?

I don't blame Kim Tiddy to be honest. They've not given her much. She was the daughter of the villain of the biggest story of the year and she was barely on screen, her husband had an affair but all the fallout scenes were given to Mercedes/Riley/Carl and Heidi just got one or two scenes.

She got a memorable exit though.

I know, shame they did not use her more. So there will only be 2 Costello's left, unless they plan on bringing some relations in or having Mitzeee's mom Trish back full time?

The producer promised me on Twitter the village will be having a new bad girl, so I hope she is telling the truth;).

The 6th formers in that ep pissed me off. Tilly and all them are so crap :bored: And don't even get me started on Gaz.

Other than that though a great ep, good to see Silas finally cracking and people thinking Lynsey might be right!

Most of the younger characters are awful:bored:.

I hope Lynsey doesn't forgive everyone easily.

Fantastic episode and what an ending.

I did wonder if Silas had tried to kill Mercedes, or left her for dead, but Riley catches her just in time.

Whatever the outcome, this has been one friggin' amazing story and Silas deserves his place in the Hollyoaks hall of fame.

Silas is so chilling, he is definitely going down as one of Hollyoaks best villains.

I still don't think Mercedes will die, but if she does then they have done a bloody good job of keeping it secret since Heidi's departure got leaked by the papers.

Hollyoaks was the most-viewed series on Channel 4's Video on Demand in September.

The teen soap attracted 2.3 million views, according to the network's monthly report on its 4oD viewing, followed by 1.6 million views for Season 1 of The Inbetweeners and Hollyoaks Later with 1.4 million.

Comedy was listed as the most popular genre with 8.4 million views during the month, compared to 7.2 million for dramas such as Fresh Meat and Shameless.

The statistics show that Video on Demand viewing of Channel 4 shows increased more than ever, with 33 million long-form VoD views during September compared to 31 million in August.

The VoD view count for 2011 has now hit 308 million, an increase of 19.3% since the previous year. 4oD on the Channel 4 website specifically gained 3.9 million average monthly unique viewers, a rise of 300,000 since August.

As much as i hate Gaz i was kind of like awwh :sad: when he found out about Heidi being killed

I wanted to feel for him, but I find the character so numb to any-one's feelings that it just didn't do it for me.

Coronation Street star Kym Marsh has teased that Hollyoaks bosses have a "dramatic" exit plot on the way for her fiancé Jamie Lomas.

Lomas announced his decision to leave Hollyoaks back in August and his final storyline as bad boy Warren Fox is expected to play out towards the end of the year.

Writing in her New magazine column, Marsh commented: "Jamie filmed his last scenes on Hollyoaks last week, and I hear they're going to be pretty dramatic.

"He didn't have a big leaving do, just a few beers with some of his castmates, but he's got a great exit storyline, so make sure you tune in."

She continued: "He's actually fine about leaving - it was his decision to go - so I think he's now ready to start the next chapter of his career. He'd love to do more TV and film and see where it takes him. Life's a journey, so onwards and upwards!"

Warren has been back on screen in Hollyoaks for the past year. Lomas previously portrayed the character between 2006 and 2009.

He will be back in Hollyoaks this time next year
