Ferguson targets Benzema to replace Tevez

The Man Utd manager Alex Ferguson has decided on a major shake-up at Old Trafford after being soundly beaten by Barcelona on Wednesday, with the major casualties being Carlos Tevez, Ji-Sung Park, Nani and Kuszczak, according to todays Daily Mirror.

Ferguson does not think that Tevez is value for money, and would rather spend such a large amount on his long-time target Karim Benzema. The Frenchman has remained loyal to Lyon so far, but now that his club have failed to win the French Ligue 1 title he may be finally convinced to make a big money move.

Ferguson wants to sell Nani and Park to finance his move for Wigan’s £15m-rated midfielder Antonio Valencia, while Kuszczak will be off-loaded to give the young England keeper Ben Foster more first team experience.

Benzema would be much better than tevez.

but selling nani and park just for valencia? what a waste...

Haha. Blyth are a great local team, I really wanted a Sunderland V Blyth derby last season but it never happened. Probably a good thing, if Blyth had beat Sunderland it'd be a bit embarrassing!

I think it's sweet how he appreciated the club for taking him on when dr's told him he'd only be 4ft 5in. The club won't wanna release him, so I doubt he'd leave with his own free will. Maybe I'm really naive though!
