Another continuity problem. I wish Amy would visit her mother in the Mental Insitute or mention how her dad is doing. Even mention what Hannah is up to.

'Conor 12-07-2011 10:57 PM

Amy did mention her dad a few times, like saying she was going to stay with her dad when she was almost killed and she has mentioned the kids being at her dads

She doesn't know her dad is now a firefighter in Manchester cleaning up the wreakage from a tram crash:shocked:.

LOL

Amy really should have said something in October 2010 about the 1st anniversary of Sarah

Do we believe him though....?

Or in other words, how often does Warren tell the truth...

bbfan1991 12-07-2011 11:08 PM

Warren said he killed Louise but I think Hollyoaks left it open if Roxanne ever wanted to return (she doesn't and a few comments when she left made me think that she thought she was better than the show at the time).

Oh I don't want to see her back, she annoyed me at times and she also made some of the scenes with Warren drab and boring.

bbfan1991 12-07-2011 11:15 PM

I know she returned once and it was a fail by Lucy Allan but I would love to see Clare return, she was great and Gemma Bissix is so lovely and she absolutely loved her time in the show:).

I mean if Warren can come back from the presumed dead and there are characters like Phil Mitchell in EastEnders still around who have done bad deeds but they would need a good character plan than the last time...

'Conor 12-07-2011 11:15 PM

what was so bad about Claires stint in 2009?

Visage 12-07-2011 11:17 PM

I would so love to see Claire return. That brief return she made was a right screw up & I really wished that hadn't happened.

It just didn't work, it felt very rushed and totally camp.

The whole fire thing was a fire and she seemed more panto wise in the stint, the Hannah fight was random when Clare had hardly interacted with her but good in the sense that she terrorised someone else.

Liked the subtle hint with her red heel still in the fire at the last clip they do at the end.

It ruined that awesome 2007 exit, i've got my hopes up because Gemma said if they ever asked her again she would be up for it.

InOne 12-07-2011 11:29 PM

Ahhh yeah the loft fire was pretty ridiculous. What's even more so is the odd story of how Warren survived, meeting the army guy and that. And Warren dropped his fascination for Theresa pretty quick

I felt Gemma really got pissed about with both Eastenders and Hollyoaks, two brief returns that were badly written and I blame the bloody writers whereas I believe some people would lay the blame at Gemma.

I think Gemma enjoyed her stint at Hollyoaks more because they appreciated her better, could not blame her for going back to the show where she first came to attention but they messed the character of Clare Bates up and they brought her back solely on Gemma's popularity at Hollyoaks IMO.

Gemma obviously found the chance to appear in EastEnders again irresistible because she said it was near her family lived too.

I felt that Eastenders wanted what Hollyoaks had in Gemma's character and like you say the popularity was evident at the time.

Wasn't this at the same time they managed to get Janine back in Enders and suddenly Claire Bates wasn't needed anymore. I can't remember if that was the case though ?

Janine is so repetitive:sleep:, Clare Bates could have been interesting and we could have found out what she had been up to.

BIB was heavily speculated;).
