USA NETWORK’S WWE ‘MONDAY NIGHT RAW’ ATTRACTS LARGEST AUDIENCE IN NEARLY THREE YEARS

5.4 Million Total Viewers Tuned-In to See Their Favorite WWE Superstars Live, Following a Record-Breaking WrestleMania

NEW YORK, NY – April 1, 2015 – Following WRESTLEMANIA 31, where Seth Rollins won his first WWE World Heavyweight Championship, this week’s WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW delivered 2.4 million adults 18-49, 2.4 million adults 25-54 and 5.4 million total viewers from 8-11 p.m. (live +same). This is the highest total viewership for RAW in nearly three years, since July 23, 2012, the night of the RAW 1000 special.

Monday’s RAW was televised live from the SAP Center in San Jose, CA, and was highlighted by Brock Lesnar challenging Rollins, the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, to a rematch; United States Champion John Cena defending his title againstDean Ambrose; and Intercontinental Champion Daniel Bryan defeating Dolph Ziggler.

Monday’s RAW was up vs. last week’s telecast by 27% in adults 18-49, 24% in adults 25-54 and 28% in total viewers 2+. USA was the #1 network Monday night in primetime in adults 18-34 as well as men 18-34 and 18-49 for all of television — including the broadcast networks.

RAW was also the #2 most social show of the day with 400,000 tweets, reaching a unique audience of 3.6 million people and generating 27 million impressions.

That's ****ing impressive

BBfanUSA 01-04-2015 08:08 PM

I posted how much cash WM generated at the gate right?

Iceman 01-04-2015 10:21 PM

I think so yeah. Maybe in the mania thread.

LaLaLand 02-04-2015 12:35 AM

Real excited - might be going to my first ever WWE live event in a few weeks in Manchester... been watching since 1999 and am only just going ha

Iceman 02-04-2015 12:39 AM

You'll have a ball. I've been a few times to both WWE & TNA.

Ramsay 02-04-2015 12:56 AM

Have fun! i've always been meaning to go to their house show when they come to dublin but it just hasn't happened yet :(

BBfanUSA 02-04-2015 03:49 AM

Like I said eariler, I went to Raw a couple weeks back and enjoyed it. You'll have a blast don't worry

So some bad news, Paige and the Miz are probably both leaving TV soon, meaning they'll be gone for 6-8 weeks

Good News is that it's for a WWE Studios Movie.

Paige is still listed on the UK/Euro Tour and London Raw in a couple weeks so she may be leaving after that.

Meaning she's not going to be the one to take the title off Nikki.

Personally, I think they should debut Charlotte right after ER and to write Paige out, Charlotte just devastates her, writing her off TV for a bit. Charlotte wins the Divas Title (maybe off Naomi?), Charlotte Brags how she's the top diva and she's going to be the top diva for a long time when *Eagle Screech*

- There were rumors this past weekend that WWE had Scott Steiner banned from the Hall of Fame ceremony on Saturday night after we exclusively revealed the image seen below, that was posted backstage, instructing security to keep Steiner out with Steiner's photo included.

It turns out there was reportedly an "ugly incident" on an airplane with Hulk Hogan's wife Jennifer. No other details are known at this time but it turned into a huge issue, leading to WWE keeping Steiner from their venues this weekend.

At the Hall of Fame on Saturday night, security were on alert at every entrance and told that if Steiner showed up, to not allow him in under any circumstances.

BBfanUSA 03-04-2015 02:32 AM

Just watched Smackdown,

Sheamus has a new theme and entrance. Is wearing all black for his attire now.

Main Event was Sheamus vs Bryan in a non title match with Barrett at ringside (They said that Ziggler was "injured", which is why this was the main event)

Match ended with Barrett busting Bryan open with a Bullhammer while the ref wasn't looking, giving Sheamus the win by countout.

Cena also cut a promo, saying he'll bur-I mean give a open challenge to anyone that wants the US Title every week. Rusev came out, It will be Rusev vs Cena at Extreme Rules if Cena still has the title by then. Cena also called Rusev a D word, it was bleeped out after the D so I have no idea what he called him exactly.

Lana was with him.

AJ Lee retires from WWE:

http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/...ires-from-wwe/

Well, thatīs a downer...

BBfanUSA 04-04-2015 12:46 AM

It's not like she had much else to do.

It does say from In Ring Competition in the WWE, maybe she'll come back for a cameo or a GM role again.

I think Nikki, Paige, Naomi (despite being a bit botchy, she's very athletic), Charlotte, Sasha, Natalya, Bayley, and Becky can carry the Division just fine.

I really hope the You suck chants from Monday didn't play a role

Iceman 04-04-2015 01:55 AM

AJ was probably the only diva I had any interest in. (And at that it was when she was a psycho as few years back). I have to say it's because of the punk thin and or the #givedivasablahblahblah

So basically that's killed the "divas" division for me. And I use the term "division" loosely. I'd rather see old school goldust as divas champ than anyone on the roster.

Tarryn 04-04-2015 11:10 AM

I have this awful feeling Nikki Bella may get to be the longest reigning Divas Champion now so they never have to mention AJ again :bawling:
How much longer do we have to put up with the awful Bella Twins

I'll lol if she's made GM of Raw again or something. Word is that they did renew but only a year so hopefully they'll drop the belt soon to either Paige or Naomi.

Paige is supposed to go off and shoot a WWE Studios film, so it might not be her.

and Ice, Really? None of the NXT Women interest you? Okay

Black Dagger 04-04-2015 01:22 PM

Nikki is anything but awful these days. I'd have given her most improved last year if it wasn't for Rusev killing it.

BBfanUSA 04-04-2015 03:12 PM

I still think by the end of the year it'll be all about Paige.

Dunno if Paige will feud with Emma (she's acting like a heel already on NXT) or Charlotte.

BBfanUSA 06-04-2015 12:44 AM

So I'm assuming she's not getting a goodbye speech?

Sorry. I'm just not into divas. And I haven't watched nxt in months. :/

BBfanUSA 06-04-2015 02:42 PM

So, the arena that's hosting SSlam in NYC will also host Raw the night after

Samuel. 06-04-2015 09:35 PM

Going to make the mistake of getting back into wrestling... even if I say that after every WM :p

Think I'm going to sign up for the WWE network too especially with it being free this month. 9.99 is a steal.
