Trainwreck - It was entertaining enough, funny in parts, a bit OTT in parts 6/10

Niamh. 01-06-2017 09:44 AM

Why Him? - It was alright 6/10

Wonder Woman

It's brilliant and it has a lot of heart that the other DCEU films lack. It's well written and Diana as a character is well realised, I honestly believe that Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman is more true to the spirit of the character than most comic book versions of the past few years.

Gal Gadot (and Wonder Woman) was the MVP of Batman vs Superman and it's no different here. If Warner Bros are smart, they'll centre future DC films around Wonder Woman because Snyder's Superman is a robot and they've already ruined Batman by making him a killer.

My only issue with the film is that the villains are a bit underdeveloped which is a real shame as the conflict of WW1 is really well done but the villains were just kind of there but it doesn't really affect the film much in all honesty.

DC need to lock down Patty Jenkins to direct other DC films because she's the cure to the Snyderitis that's tainted the DCEU.

9/10

Clueless - 9/10

I have never seen this film before or know the plot about it. I thought this was going to be a typical high school mean girl film but it was the opposite. But it was a great movie and Cher is a icon

The second Pirates of the Caribbean movie.. thought it was guff compared to the first one but girl child wants me to watch all of them before we go to cinema to see new one.

Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow is just amazing though. :)

Niamh. 03-06-2017 10:47 AM

Pitch Perfect 1 and 2 back to back - I enjoyed them, I'll rate them together because it was like one long movie  7.5/10

Hush - 9/10

Amazing film that centers its self around a deaf character

Benzient-XXVII 04-06-2017 09:46 PM

No Escape (2014)
10/10 > liked when the action started almost immediately, very tense I was on tenter hooks all the way through

Crawl (2011)
4/10 > the villain was a boring weirdo who was as menacing as a knife taped to a Cat's tail

Ejecta (2013)
1/10 > words fail me how awful this was , I didn't have a clue what was going on? and by the looks of things the ''actors'' didn't have a clue either, badly acted and so boring ZZZZZ

Niamh. 05-06-2017 04:00 PM

Wonder Woman - Brilliant, had just the right amount of humour I think, as much as I liked Suicide Squad it was a little try hard with the humour, this one was perfect 8.5/10

The Man from Uncle
- Not great, I normally like Guy Ritchie but his style didn't work well in this film, also Henry Cavil is a terrible actor imo so wooden with zero charisma 3/10

King Gizzard 05-06-2017 04:49 PM

Apocalypto - decent

7-10

Although at the end I strongly doubt you can give birth like that??

King Gizzard 05-06-2017 10:03 PM

we have that compare the market two for one thing and we were thinking about seeing wonder woman. I'm not really into superhero films but I wondered if anyone would still recommend it..

It's really good, it's not really a superhero film tbh. I'd recommend it.

Niamh. 06-06-2017 03:47 PM

Go see it Nathan, it's really good

King Gizzard 06-06-2017 07:50 PM

yeah that was quite good, but I agree with Dezzy about the villains. The two Germans were really corny as well, they reminded me of Dastardly and Muttely ''That gas mask won't work!'' ''They don't know that!'' *evil laugh*

but that aside I'd give it an 8/10

Mystic Mock 07-06-2017 05:33 PM

Pandemic - I know it's had some bad reviews, but overall I thought the action was solid in the Film, the plot made sense, and they did some nice scenery shots at nightime when the level 5 Zombies came out. Although I'd have taken out some of the sappy Drama nearer the end of the Film. Overall I'll score the Film a 7.5/10

Don't Go In The House - 1980 - 6.5/10.

Not a bad movie, made famous for being on the infamous Video Nasties list in the 1980's. Making it my mission to watch all the movies on the famed DPP 72 list. Watched around 30 so far.

I had a sort of morbid curiosity to see that but I can't stand Emma Watson when she's not in HP films

She nearly ruined Perks of Being a Wallflower

Yep, Hermione and the Beast :joker:.

King Gizzard 10-06-2017 05:23 PM

Swiss Army Man

Man on an island tries to get home with the help of a dead Daniel Radcliffe who can talk

You really have to see it tbh there'll never be another film like it. I don't even know if I enjoyed it. Some great acting and emotional bits but it doesn't make any sense. Bit childish in parts. Toilet humour every other sentence.

Love the soundtrack

7.5/10
