Charlie Adam to Aston Villa

bbfan1991 18-06-2011 10:18 PM

Try and make this a sticky Nate till the window shuts;).

King Gizzard 18-06-2011 10:21 PM

I think it would be better if you renamed it ''Summer Transfer Window thrad'' or something like that

There aren't enough threads in the football forum for there to be stickies really lol

King Gizzard 18-06-2011 10:23 PM

Much better

:D Done. Transfer window is important though so there should at least be a sticky for it.

Stoke joining the race for Scott Dann? Was in my local paper today...

King Gizzard 18-06-2011 10:25 PM

Guess you're right, done it anyway

King Gizzard 18-06-2011 10:25 PM

Wish we would go for Dann too but Stoke bid 12m. too much

Where the hell did they get 12 from for one player when they have a good back 2 of Huth and Shawcross anyway?

Better options? Shawcross is more likely to get sent off and it would increase competition for places.

They're interested in DJ Campbell too apparently.

Roma signing Bojan from Barcelona soon.

bbfan1991 18-06-2011 10:28 PM

Cheers for that Nate:).

bbfan1991 18-06-2011 10:33 PM

Daily Fail:bored:, suggesting that Ashley Young coming to United will force Nani to leave even though the player himself has already said he's happy there.

It will be more competition but Nani is a much better and effective player! He was so underrated last season and did better than the likes of Bale if you look at the stats overall:(.

Luis Enrique (former great Barca player) is manager at Roma now, he's been impressive as Barca's B team manager who finished in the playoffs in the spanish second division but weren't allowed to go up obviously. That's probably why Bojan's gone there and Barca desperately need the cash

Barcelona offered Bojan to Udinese as part of the Alexis Sanchez deal but he refused. Seems a good move to Roma because of his connection with Enrique.

Barcelona had an offer rejected for Giuessepi Rossi and we know already that they're trying to sign the two already mentioned and Fabregas but if they will get all three is another story.

I think Barca will be on the look out for some more defenders too as that is actually the weakest area of their team despite the quality they have throughout IMO.

Papers claiming that Arsene Wenger is interested in Joey Barton:joker:. They've been linked with Jermain Defoe and Stewart Downing.

Tottenham apparently threatening to report Chelsea to the FA for in their words ''tapping up'' Modric WTF? I don't like Chelsea but they've only made an offer which Spurs understandably rejected as they are trying to hold onto him.

Think he'll end up leaving anyway, can see Spurs selling him to United or City to spite their London neighbours;).

Ki Sung-Yeung 'lined up by Liverpool' as Charlie Adam transfer stalls

Celtic midfielder Ki Sung-Yeung has emerged as a surprise transfer target for Liverpool, as doubts about Charlie Adam's move to Anfield grow.

You forgot the Christian Zapata rumours:p.

Locke. 19-06-2011 02:46 PM

Nothing going to happen there until after the Copa America

bbfan1991 19-06-2011 02:50 PM

Udinese will ask for a big price and start a bidding war, they are a selling club and have lots of young Italian and mostly South American talent coming through their system.

Where do you think Adam will go then?

Novo 19-06-2011 02:51 PM

Ki Sung-Yeung

**** sake :joker: :joker: :joker:

Locke. 19-06-2011 02:51 PM

Still think we'll get him, that Yeung rumor is only from Talk Sport

Novo 19-06-2011 02:55 PM

If Ki Sung-Yeung is good enough to play for Liverpool then Steven Naismith is good enough to play for Barca

bbfan1991 19-06-2011 02:59 PM

I don't think Adam is ready for Man Utd or Liverpool, he is for Spurs or Aston Villa though;).

King Gizzard 19-06-2011 05:33 PM

If liverpool don't go for Adam we'll get him..

According to sources from across the Channel, Aston Villa would like to bring Schalke's young playmaker Julian Draxler on loan for next season. The 17 year-old made his Bundesliga debut last season, making 15 first-team appearances in total. Draxler is considered one of Germany's greatest youth talents to have emerged in recent years.

The emergence of Draxler has been one of the few postives to take out of Schalke's disappointing season. A Germany-U18 regular, he even got some game-time in Schalke's Champion's League campaign and has allegedly attracted interest from the likes of Juventus.
