The JPEG lossy compression washed out the gradients in the press release version so I traced, recoloured and relit it.

I mean like this:

People are obviously threatened by such a change from the eyes we've been used to in series 1-11. However, this is exactly what Channel5 needs to do to make the show fresh and new to improve ratings.

But it could have been drastically changed to something equally as imaginative. The Australian one was amazing and looked nothing like our old one. Even the Secret Story eye has a bit of flair to it. It just seems very plain. I don't dislike it by the way, but neither am I bowled over by it.
